Time 1h

Yield 4

Number Of Ingredients 10

aluminum foil
1 serving cooking spray
1 (10.5 ounce) can condensed cream of mushroom soup
1 (1 ounce) package dry onion soup mix
¼ teaspoon ground black pepper
4 medium russet potatoes, peeled and cut into 1/4-inch slices
4 (4 ounce) boneless pork chops
2 carrots, peeled and cut into 1/2-inch slices
1 cup mushrooms, sliced
2 cups fresh green beans, trimmed

Steps:

  • Preheat the oven to 425 degrees F (220 degrees C). Tear 4 large pieces of aluminum foil, each about 14 inches long. Spray each lightly with cooking spray.
  • Mix condensed soup, onion soup mix, and pepper together in a small bowl until well blended.
  • Dividing ingredients evenly, place some sliced potatoes on the center of each piece of foil, followed by a pork chop, carrots, mushrooms, green beans, and the condensed soup mixture. Fold the packets by bringing the 2 long ends of foil together and folding over twice to make a seal. Seal the short ends by folding each end over 2 to 3 times; this allows the meat and vegetables to steam. Place the packets on a large cookie sheet.
  • Bake in the preheated oven until chops are no longer pink in the center and potatoes are tender, about 30 minutes. Allow packets to sit for 5 minutes before opening.

PORK CHOPS WITH CREAMY MUSHROOMS

Pork Chops with Creamy Mushrooms image

Smother pan-seared pork chops in a mushroom sauce finished with sour cream and parsley.

Provided by Food Network Kitchen

Time 25m

Yield 4

Number Of Ingredients 11

2 tablespoons olive oil
4 center cut boneless pork chops, about 1-inch thick (about 1 1/4 pounds total)
Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper
4 ounces mixed sliced mushrooms
1/2 red onion, chopped
1 garlic clove, finely chopped
1/4 cup brandy or white wine
1/4 cup low-sodium chicken broth
3 tablespoons sour cream
1 tablespoon chopped fresh flat-leaf parsley
Steamed green beans, for serving, optional

Steps:

  • Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F. Heat 1 tablespoon of the oil in a medium skillet over medium-high heat. Sprinkle the pork chops all over with salt and pepper and cook, flipping once, until golden brown, 2 to 3 minutes per side. Transfer to a baking sheet lined with foil and bake until cooked through and but still slightly pink inside, about 5 minutes.
  • Add the remaining 1 tablespoon oil to the skillet and reduce the heat to medium. Add the mushrooms and cook, stirring, until soft, about 4 minutes. Add the onions, garlic, and a pinch of salt and cook until translucent, about 2 minutes. Remove the skillet from the heat, add the brandy, and use a wooden spoon to scrape up any brown bits that cling to the pan. Return to the heat and cook until the liquid is almost completely evaporated, about 1 minute. Add the chicken broth, and cook until saucy, about 2 minutes more. Remove from the heat, stir in the sour cream and parsley, and season with salt and pepper.
  • Spoon the mushrooms and sauce over the pork chops. Serve with steamed green beans if desired.

MOIST BAKED BREADED PORK CHOPS IN MUSHROOM GRAVY

Moist Baked Breaded Pork Chops in Mushroom Gravy image

This is a wonderful comfort food and has become one of my family's favorite pork chop recipes --- you may season the breadcrumbs anyway desired adding in Parmesan cheese to your breadcrumb mixture will only improve the flavor --- depending on the size of your pork chops one more won't hurt if you have the room in your baking pan, and baking time will vary depending on the thickness, do not use fast-fry for this -- this is *very* good!
