1 c tomato ketchup - your favorite brand
3 Tbsp worcerstershire sauce
3 Tbsp fresh lime juice (fresh juice produces a better flavor)
1 Tbsp (heaping tbsp) prepared horseradish
1 or 2 dash(es) tabasco sauce (optional)

Steps:

  • 1. In a bowl, mix all ingredients together and blend well. Serve right away, or store in an airtight container. Keep chilled.

½ cup ketchup (such as Heinz®)
1 cup tomato-based chili sauce (such as Heinz®)
¼ cup prepared horseradish
⅓ cup light brown sugar
2 tablespoons lemon juice
½ teaspoon hot pepper sauce (such as Frank's RedHot®)
¼ teaspoon garlic salt
¼ teaspoon onion powder

Steps:

  • Whisk the ketchup, chili sauce, horseradish, brown sugar, lemon juice, hot sauce, garlic salt, and onion powder together in a bowl until the sugar has dissolved; cover. Refrigerate at least 1 hour before serving.

A combination of pungent horseradish and sweet ketchup make up the foundation of this classic cocktail sauce, which is seasoned with lemon juice, hot sauce and a dash of Worcestershire. Drizzle it on a shrimp cocktail or dab it sparingly on raw seafood. A little of this assertive mixture goes a long way.

2/3 cup ketchup
3 tablespoons prepared horseradish, store-bought or homemade
1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice, plus more to taste
1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
1/4 teaspoon hot sauce, such as Tabasco, plus more to taste
Dash of Worcestershire sauce

Steps:

  • Mix together all the ingredients in a small bowl until well blended. Taste and add more lemon juice or hot sauce as needed. Cocktail sauce will keep in the refrigerator in a covered container for at least 2 weeks.

  • Whisk together the ketchup, lime juice, horseradish and chipotle puree in a small bowl, and season with salt and black pepper. Let sit at least 30 minutes before serving
