ROASTED NAPA CABBAGE WITH GARLIC RECIPE
This quick and tasty preparation of Napa cabbage makes a lovely nutritious side dish and also works well as part of a vegetarian meal.

Steps:
- Pre-heat oven to 450 degrees. Line a baking sheet with parchment or non-stick baking mat.
- In a blender or food processor combine olive oil, lemon zest, garlic and parsley. Blend until smooth.
- Gently brush both sides of cabbage with oil and garlic mixture and season with salt and pepper. Place cabbage cut side down on baking sheet.
- Bake in middle rack of oven for 10 minutes then gently turn cabbage so other cut side is on baking sheet, roast for 5 minutes more.
- Remove from oven and garnish with chopped parsley.
ROASTED NAPA CABBAGE
After baking, oven-roasted napa cabbage remains juicy and tender. Furthermore, the marinade makes it more fragrant and flavorful. We recommend serving this dish with one of our light yogurt-based sauces for the ultimate deliciousness.

Steps:
- Remove the top leaves from the cabbage and pierce it with wooden skewers along the entire length, roughly an inch apart from each other.
- Cut the cabbage into one-inch-thick pieces with a sharp knife. Arrange them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Combine butter, soy sauce, honey, and pepper and mix until uniform.
- Thoroughly brush each piece of cabbage with the mixture. Sprinkle with sesame seeds and bake at 355 °F for 20 minutes.
ROASTED NAPA CABBAGE
This is a great, easy side dish to just about anything...chicken, pork, etc. The roasting carmelizes the sugar in the cabbage and develops a rich deep flavor. Adapted from 'The Everything Cooking for Two Cookbook'.

Steps:
- Heat the oil in a skillet on low; add the garlic cloves and cook very gently for 15 minutes. Discard the garlic and toss the cabbage with the oil, salt and pepper.
- Preheat your oven to 450°.
- Place the cabbage on a baking sheet and bake for about 15 minutes or until the tops of the cabbage pieces are browned.
- Serve hot.

- Preheat oven to 450 degrees F (230 degrees C).
- Brush both sides of each cabbage wedge with olive oil. Sprinkle garlic powder, red pepper flakes, salt, and pepper over each wedge. Arrange wedges on a baking sheet.
- Roast in the preheated oven for 15 minutes; flip cabbage and continue roasting until browned and charred in some areas, about 15 minutes more. Squeeze lemon over each wedge.
