Salsa Ranch Dressing image

Salsa ranch dressing is a combination of two of your favorite Tex Mex flavors in one! A 5-minute cool, creamy, and zesty dressing that comes together with just salsa, ranch, and a couple of extra layers of zing!

1/2 cup ranch
1/4 cup salsa (, more to taste)
1 Tablespoon lime juice
salt and pepper to taste

Steps:

  • Whisk together the ranch, salsa and lime juice in a small bowl. Salt and pepper to taste.
  • Store in a covered jar until ready to serve. Serve on top of a salad or dip with your favorite vegetables.

Salsa Ranch Chicken Wraps image

I came up with this easy wrap while working at a deli during college. The combination of salsa and ranch adds a unique twist, and the chicken pieces are nice and tender.

Yield 4 servings.

Number Of Ingredients 9

4 tablespoons salsa
4 tablespoons prepared ranch salad dressing
4 tomato basil tortillas (10 inches), warmed
2 boneless skinless chicken breast halves (4 ounces each), grilled and cut into strips
12 slices cucumber
8 slices tomato
1/2 cup julienned green pepper
6 slices Swiss cheese
2 tablespoons butter, divided

Steps:

  • Spread 1 tablespoon of salsa and 1 tablespoon of ranch dressing over each tortilla. Place the chicken, cucumber, tomato and green pepper down each center; top with 1-1/2 slices of cheese. Fold ends of each tortilla over filling. , In a large skillet, melt 1 tablespoon butter. Place two wraps folded side down in skillet. Cook over medium heat for 3-4 minutes on each side or until lightly browned and cheese is melted. Repeat with remaining wraps and butter.

A little recipe I came up with for a Mexican inspired dinner. I love it also on Taco salad. For a side salad we like it with lettuce, chucky cucumbers, pepper pieces, green onion, avocado and topped with crushed tortilla chips. I usually use Chi Chi's brand Fiesta Salsa in Medium and Hidden Valley Ranch, but feel free to use whatever is in your fridge, I like to mix it up ahead of time for the flavors to fully blend more.

  • Mix together well.
  • Let set at least 1 hour for flavors to blend.
