Slow Cooker Salted Caramel Moonshine image

1/2 cup water
1/2 cup brown sugar (- packed)
1/4 cup salted caramel flavored syrup
2 tsp vanilla extract
2 cups Everclear
2 ounces caramel vodka

Steps:

  • Combine water, brown sugar, flavored syrup & vanilla extract in the slow cooker & whisk well.
  • Cover & cook on high 90 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  • Remove insert from the cooker, uncover & allow to cool to room temperature.
  • Once cooled, stir in Everclear & vodka.
  • Transfer to mason jars or bottles.
  • Store in a cool, dark place.

Fall is on the horizon and you need to enjoy this Caramel Moonshine recipe along side a campfire with friends and family.

4 small mason jars with lids (8-10oz)
60 caramel squares (15 for each jar)
4 cups vodka* (1 cup per jar)

Steps:

  • Unwrap caramel candies and place 15 in the bottom of each jar. Fill your jar with vodka until you have about 1/2 inch left to the top.
  • Shake for 1-2 minutes and store in a cool place for about a week.
  • When it's time to open your jars, strain the liquor through a cheesecloth or fine strainer into a large pitcher. Discard any remaining pieces of candy.
  • Pour your caramel moonshine back into the mason jars, seal, and store in refrigerator until you're ready to serve.
