HOW TO MAKE SARSAPARILLA TEA: EASY RECIPE

How to Make Sarsaparilla Tea: Easy Recipe image

It is quite easy to find sarsaparilla products in health stores or even in online stores. However, it would be ideal if you could find pure, unadulterated, dried roots and boil them yourself to make the highly nutritious and antioxidant-rich beverage at home, especially when you're feeling sick. Anyway, take a look at the recipe below.

Provided by Ishani Bose

Categories     Beverage

Time 35m

Number Of Ingredients 3

1/4-1 tsp shredded sarsaparilla root
8 ounces hot water
honey/sugar ((optional))

Steps:

  • Chop and shred the pieces of the root as finely as possible.
  • Bring a saucepan of water to boil.
  • Thereafter, add 1/4 teaspoon of the chopped root to a teapot or infuser.
  • Pour the hot water over the chopped root and allow the mixture to steep for 10-30 minutes.
  • Strain the tea, add honey or any other sweetener of your preference to it and enjoy your cup of tea warm.

CAROB SPICE TEA

Carob Spice Tea image

This is one of the many recipes I came up with on my own while experimenting with my various tea herbs. This particular blend, Carob Spice Tea, involves roasted carob nut (tastes similar to chocolate) and makes a very nice healthier alternative to hot chocolate. In fact, I like the flavor better than actual hot chocolate! Note: I've listed things in teaspoons because this website won't let me list it in parts, but it's technically in a ratio, so you can make whatever quantity you want.

Provided by Feelah_the_tigress

Categories     Beverages

Time 15m

Yield 1 serving(s)

Number Of Ingredients 5

2 teaspoons carob chips
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon clove
1/2 teaspoon allspice
1 teaspoon black tea

Steps:

  • Assemble all the ingredients and place in a tea ball. Note: If you don't own a tea ball, then you can put the ingredients directly in the water and then strain out later.
  • Place tea ball in hot water and steep for 10 minutes.
  • Also Note: When you are buying carob chips, make sure you buy roasted ones, or it won't taste right.

SARSAPARILA SPICE TEA

Sarsaparila Spice Tea image

This one is a great tea blend, especially if you like spiced teas in general. Since this one uses sarsaparilla, it's a bit more unique than your typical black tea. It is best hot, but I like it chilled too. Note: I've listed things in teaspoons because this website won't let me list it in parts, but it's technically in a ratio, so you can make whatever quantity you want.
