CHEESE AND PEPPERONI PIZZA BITES



Cheese and Pepperoni Pizza Bites image

Skip the slice in favor of a quick and easy recipe for pizza bites stuffed with cheese and pepperoni and dunked in marinara sauce.

Number Of Ingredients 8

1 pound homemade or store-bought pizza dough, at room temp
Flour, for rolling out dough
1/2 cup homemade or store-bought marinara sauce, plus more for serving
1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
1 cup sliced pepperoni
1 large egg
3 Tablespoons shredded Parmesan cheese
Dried oregano or pizza seasoning

Steps:

  • Preheat the oven to 375ºF. Grease a 9-inch cake pan with cooking spray.
  • Lightly flour your work surface then divide the dough into 19 equal portions. Roll each piece of dough into a small circle about 3 inches in size. Add 1 to 2 teaspoons of marinara sauce into the center of each piece of dough then sprinkle the marinara with a small portion of the cheese and one slice of pepperoni. Pull all of the sides up to meet in the center, firmly pinching to seal the fillings inside the dough pocket. Repeat the filling and sealing process with the remaining pieces of dough.
  • Beginning in the center, arrange the filled dough balls seam side down in a single layer in the prepared pan. (Do not overlap the dough balls.)
  • In a small bowl, whisk together the egg with 1 tablespoon water. Brush the eggwash all over the tops of the dough balls then sprinkle the Parmesan cheese on top.
  • Bake for 25 to 27 minutes until golden brown and bubbly. (You can check if the dough is fully baked by lifting one piece to see if the bottom has browned slightly.) Remove the pizza bites from the oven, sprinkle the tops with the dried oregano and serve with additional marinara sauce for dipping.

1 tube (13.80 ounces) refrigerated pizza crust
1/4 cup prepared ranch salad dressing
6 ounces pepperoni, finely chopped
1 cup shredded pepper jack cheese
1/4 cup shredded Romano cheese
1/4 cup thinly sliced green onions
1/4 cup chopped green pepper
4 cooked bacon strips, chopped
2 teaspoons Italian seasoning
1 teaspoon garlic powder
Optional: Marinara sauce or Alfredo sauce, warmed

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350°. Grease 12 muffin cups; set aside., On a lightly floured surface, unroll pizza crust. Spread ranch to within 1/2-in. of edges. Sprinkle with pepperoni, cheeses, green onions, green pepper, bacon and seasonings. Roll up jelly-roll style; pinch the edge closed. Cut crosswise into 12 slices. Place each slice into prepared muffin cups., Bake until lightly browned, 20-25 minutes. Serve warm with marinara or Alfredo, if desired.

Bake these pizza sauce laced pepperoni stuffed jumbo pasta shells for a comforting cheesy dinner that's ready in just an hour!

12 uncooked jumbo pasta shells
1 tablespoon oil
1 cup chopped green bell pepper
1 medium onion, chopped (1/2 cup)
1 1/2 cups chopped pepperoni (about 6 ounces)
1 cup chopped Italian plum tomatoes (about 3 medium)
8 oz. (2 cups) shredded 6-cheese Italian cheese blend
1 (15-oz.) can pizza sauce

Steps:

  • Cook pasta shells to desired doneness as directed on package. Drain. Meanwhile, heat oven to 350°F. Spray 11x7-inch (2-quart) glass baking dish with nonstick cooking spray.
  • Heat oil in large skillet over medium heat until hot. Add bell pepper and onion; cook and stir 3 to 4 minutes or until tender. Remove from heat. Add pepperoni, tomatoes and 1 1/2 cups of the cheese; mix well.
  • Fill each cooked pasta shell with pepperoni mixture. Place in sprayed baking dish. Spoon any remaining pepperoni mixture between shells. Spoon pizza sauce over stuffed shells. Cover with foil.
  • Bake at 350°F. for 30 minutes. Uncover; sprinkle with remaining 1/2 cup cheese. Bake an additional 5 to 10 minutes or until sauce is bubbly and cheese is melted.

These are great finger foods. We always make them for Super Bowl parties. Kids enjoy helping make these and eating them as well. You can add green peppers, onions or mushrooms as well!

2 (10 ounce) cans pizza dough
8 ounces mozzarella cheese, cut into 48 cubes
48 slices pepperoni
1/4 cup olive oil
1 1/2 teaspoons italian seasoning
2 tablespoons parmesan cheese
1 (14 ounce) jar pizza sauce, heated

Steps:

  • Heat oven to 400.
  • Spray 13x9 pan with non-stick cooking spray.
  • Remove dough from cans and unroll.
  • Press out each dough rectangle to form 12x8 rectangle.
  • Cut each rectangle into 24 squares.
  • Top each square with cheese cube and pepperoni.
  • Wrap dough around filling completely.
  • Press edges to seal and place seam side down with sides touching in pan.
  • Combine oil and seasoning in a small bowl and drizzle over dough in pans.
  • Sprinkle with parmesan cheese.
  • Bake at 400 for 15 to 25 minutes or until golden brown.
  • Serve with warm pizza sauce.

1/2 yellow onion, diced
3 green onions, diced
4 mushrooms, chopped
2 garlic cloves, minced
1 teaspoon butter
12 pepperoni slices, diced
1 tablespoon fresh basil, chopped
1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
1 dash black pepper
5 eggs, beaten
1/2 cup ready-made bruschetta, drained
1/4 cup parmesan cheese, grated
fresh mozzarella ball (nickle size, halfed)

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350°F.
  • Saute onions in butter til golden.
  • Add mushrooms and garlic and saute 1 minute more. Set aside to cool.
  • Mix all ingredients together (except mozzarella balls.) Be sure veggie mixture has cooled slightly before adding to egg mixture.
  • Spoon into a lightly greased mini muffin tin.
  • Insert 1/2 small fresh mozzarella ball in the middle of each bite.
  • Bake for 30 minutes.
