PINK GRAPEFRUIT COCKTAIL
Steps:
- Shake the grapefruit and lemon juice, orange liqueur, vodka and 1 tablespoon crushed ice in a cocktail shaker. Add a touch more fruit juice or vodka to taste. Strain into a chilled martini glass and garnish with grapefruit. Enjoy!
STEAKHOUSE SHRIMP COCKTAIL WITH SISTER SAUCES

- Poach the shrimp: Add 6 cups of water to a medium-sized saucepan. Squeeze the lemon juice into the saucepan and then add in the lemon halves as well. Add the parsley sprigs, garlic, 1 teaspoon salt and peppercorns and bring to a simmer. Once the water is simmering, add the shrimp and cook until just opaque, 3 to 4 minutes. Remove the shrimp from the poaching liquid and chill completely.
- To serve: Cover a platter with crushed ice and arrange the shrimp on top. Serve with the Spicy Cocktail and Lemon-Basil cocktail sauces.
- Add the ketchup, chipotle, horseradish and lemon juice to a small bowl and whisk to combine.
- Add the sour cream, mayonnaise, basil, lemon zest, 1/4 teaspoon salt and 1/4 teaspoon pepper to a small bowl and whisk to combine.
SHRIMP, ARTICHOKE AND GRAPEFRUIT COCKTAIL
When first discovered this recipe, I was intrigued by the ingredients and the presentation. The original recipe specified fresh crabmeat, which I haven't tried but am certain is very delicious, too.

- NOTE: I have also used frozen bay shrimp that has been thawed. For the artichoke hearts I have used either the jarred marinated or frozen hearts-thawed.
- Make the cocktail dressing first by combining the mayonnaise, chili sauce, parsley, Worcestershire, and black pepper. Cover and chill.
- Cut grapefruits in half. Remove the fruit segments with a serrated (grapefruit) spoon. Cut the fruit segments up into bite sized pieces and toss with the lemon juice.
- Clean out the grapefruit shells and remove pith; set aside.
- In a bowl gently mix the grapefruit, shrimp, cayenne and rum. Cut the marinated artichokes* up into bite sized pieces and combine with the grapefruit/shrimp mixture.
- *If using frozen artichoke hearts, squeeze out the excess moisture gently with your hands.
- Divide the mixture and spoon into the grapefruit shells. Divide and spoon the cocktail dressing on top of each grapefruit shell. Garnish with lemon slices and fresh parsley (or cilantro leaves).
- Serve immediately.

GRAPEFRUIT MEZCAL COCKTAIL RECIPE BY TASTY
Mezcal is a mexican distilled alcohol made from any agave succulent. This mezcal cocktail brings you its smoky flavor with the bittersweetness, but mostly sweetness, of grapefruit. This content is intended solely for users of legal drinking age. Drink responsibly.

- Make the grapefruit simple syrup. In a small saucepan over medium heat, combine the cold water, sugar, and grapefruit peel. Bring to a simmer, then cook until the sugar is dissolved, 5-7 minutes. Remove the pot from heat and let the syrup cool completely. Transfer to an airtight container and refrigerate for at least 6 hours, or overnight, to let the grapefruit peels infuse the syrup. After infusing, remove the grapefruit peels and discard.
- Make the cocktail: In a large glass pitcher, combine the mezcal, lime juice, grapefruit simple syrup, and grapefruit juice. Stir well to combine.
- Just before serving, add the lemon-lime soda and ice and stir well.
- Pour into glasses and garnish with the grapefruit half-wheels.
- Enjoy!

- Combine the sugar and water in a small saucepan and heat to dissolve the sugar. Remove from the heat. Add the thyme and peppercorns. Let steep for one hour. Strain and chill, reserving a few thyme sprigs for garnish.
- Mix grapefruit juice and vodka in a pitcher. (Chill if making ahead.) To serve, fill each 8-ounce glass with 1 tablespoon thyme syrup, add ice to fill the glass, and fill 3/4 of the way full with the grapefruit mixture. Top with club soda. Garnish with 1 sprig of fresh thyme and some cracked black pepper if desired.
