1 1/2 cups Flour ( see post for gluten free alternative)
1 tsp Baking Soda
1 tsp Ground Cinnamon
3/4 cup Splenda
1/2 cup Surkin Gold
1 cup Butter
1 tsp Vanilla Extract
2 Eggs
3 cups Rolled Oats
1 cup Raisins

Steps:

  • Preheat your oven to 350. Prep a pan for nonstick- I use parchment paper.
  • In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and ground cinnamon. Set this bowl aside.
  • Now in a mixing bowl, cream together the granular sugar alternative and the butter. Then add the vanilla and the eggs, gently stirring them into the mixing bowl
  • For the next step, we will add the dry ingredients from the first bowl (flour etc) to the mixing bowl. Do this by adding half of the dry ingredients at a time, mixing gently between additions. Then continue mixing the cookie dough until the ingredients are mixed together.
  • Next, stir in the oatmeal and raisins by hand. Bake these cookies for 10-12 minutes or until the edges begin to brown

3/4 c . oats
1 t . baking powder
1/4 t . sea salt
1 t . cinnamon
1 T . coconut sugar or any granulated sugar
2 T . coconut oil
1 1/2 t . vanilla extract
4-5 T . milk of your choice (, as needed)
3 T . raisins

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
  • Mix dry ingredients (flour, oats, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, sugar).
  • Stir in oil, vanilla, raisins, and milk, adding enough milk to moisten the flour and oats and make a dough that sticks together, but isn't overly wet.
  • Form balls with the dough (8-10).
  • Place the balls of dough onto a parchment paper-lined baking sheet and press down on the tops a bit with your fingers.
  • Bake 10 minutes until firm to the touch.
  • Cool and enjoy!

1 1/2 tsp Pure vanilla extract
½ Cup Coconut sugar
1 Cup Quick oats
1/2 Cup Whole wheat flour
1 ½ teaspoons Baking powder
¼ Cup+ 2 tbsps Raisins

Steps:

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F, and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • In a medium bowl, stir together the coconut oil, almond milk, cinnamon, salt, and vanilla. Whisk in the coconut sugar.
  • Add the oats and flour, and sprinkle the baking powder over the flour. Mix in the oats, flour, and baking powder until incorporated. Fold in the raisins.
  • Drop the cookie dough onto the prepared baking sheet using a medium cookie scoop, and flatten with the palm of your hand or a spatula. These cookies don't spread much, so you'll want them pretty flat.
  • Bake at 350°F for 9-12 minutes. Cool on the baking sheet for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.

The published Tate's recipe on YouTube does not taste like the cookies you buy in the store in the green bag. This is the closest I've come to simulating the oatmeal raisin flavor. This is not a thick cakey cookie but a thin, crisp, lighter version.

1 cup all-purpose flour
1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda

1 ¾ sticks cold salted butter

1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Line 2 baking sheets with parchment paper.

3/4 cup white whole wheat flour (sub a quarter unbleached all purpose for a lighter cookie)
3/4 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 tablespoon cinnamon
1 dash nutmeg (optional, but gives more oomph) (optional)
1 dash salt (optional)
1/2 cup non-hydrogenated margarine, softened (Earth Balance)
1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
1/8 cup raw sugar
3/4 tablespoon pure vanilla extract
1 1/2 teaspoons Ener-G Egg Substitute (1 1/2 teaspoon Ener-G plus 2 tablespoons warm water)
1 1/4 cups organic old fashioned oats (instant works alright too)
1/2 cup raisins

Steps:

  • In a mixing bowl, sift together the first set of ingredients.
