3/4 cup packed brown sugar
3 tablespoons honey
6 large tart apples
1 cup golden raisins
Vanilla ice cream, optional

Steps:

  • In a small saucepan, bring water, brown sugar and honey to a boil. Remove from the heat. , Core apples and peel the top third of each. Place in an ungreased 9-in. pie plate. Fill apples with raisins; sprinkle any remaining raisins into pan. Pour sugar syrup over apples. , Bake, uncovered, at 350° for 1 hour or until tender, basting occasionally. Serve with ice cream if desired.

4 whole Honeycrisp Apples (washed and cored)
3 TB brown sugar
2 ts cinnamon
1 TB honey
2 TB Cinnamon Coffee Creamer
1 TB butter (cut into 4ths)

Steps:

  • Preheat the oven to 350F
  • In a small bowl, combine the brown sugar, cinnamon, honey, and coffee creamer
  • Spray a pie pan with a little cooking spray, and arrange the apples on it.
  • In the middle of each apple, where you have cored them out. Fill the cavity of each apple with the brown sugar mixture.
  • After the cavity is filled, place a 4th of the butter onto the top of each apple in the core section.
  • Cover with the dish with foil and bake for about an hour
  • Take the apples out the oven, Take the foil off and serve them up and ENJOY!

6 green apples
1 ½ cups fresh cranberries
2 ¼ cups water
¾ cup packed brown sugar
3 tablespoons honey
6 scoops vanilla ice cream

Steps:

  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
  • Core the apples, and remove the peel from the top third of each one. Place them in a baking dish, and fill the core holes with as many cranberries as you can fit.
  • Meanwhile, stir together the water, brown sugar and honey in a small saucepan. Bring to a boil, stirring occasionally to dissolve the sugar and honey if necessary. Once it comes to a boil, pour the mixture over the apples.

½ cup white sugar
3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
½ teaspoon ground cinnamon

  • Wash and core each apple, hollowing out the inside while leaving the bottom intact.

  • Sprinkle the cavity of each apple with cinnamon; fill each with 2 teaspoons honey and 1 teaspoon chopped pecans {optional}.

6 eating apples (grown-up helpers: please score around the circumference of each with a small, sharp knife)
handful of sultanas
2 tbsp light muscovado sugar
1 tsp cinnamon
matchbox-size piece of butter
2 tsp demerara sugar

Steps:

  • Ask a grown-up to turn the oven on to 200C/180C fan/ gas 6. Sit each apple on the worktop and push the apple corer into the centre of each one (or ask a grown-up to do this for you).
  • Mix the sultanas, muscovado sugar and cinnamon together in a bowl.
  • Stand up the apples, side by side, in a baking dish. Using your fingers, push a little bit of the sultana mixture into each apple, using up all the mixture between them.
  • Add a blob of butter to the top of each and sprinkle over the demerara sugar. Ask a grown-up to put the dish in the oven for 20 mins or until the apples are cooked through.

2 small Honeycrisp apples, cored and thinly sliced
¼ cup honey
Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper
6 sheets frozen phyllo dough, thawed and trimmed into 12-inch squares
1 (16-ounce) wheel Brie cheese

Steps:

  • Preheat the oven to 400°F. Line a half sheet pan with parchment paper.
  • In a medium skillet, heat 2 tablespoons of the butter over medium heat. Add the apples and cook, stirring often, until softened and lightly caramelized, 10 to 12 minutes. Transfer the apples to a bowl and toss with the honey. Season with salt and pepper.In a small saucepan, melt the remaining 6 tablespoons butter. On the prepared sheet pan, lay out 1 sheet of the phyllo dough and lightly brush it with melted butter to coat. Lay another sheet of phyllo on top, brush with butter, and repeat this process until you've layered all 6 sheets of phyllo. Place the Brie in the center and top it with the apple mixture.
