Crock Pot Pork Chops and Gravy (+Video) image

This easy recipe for Crock Pot Pork Chops with Gravy is so delicious! The pork chops come out so tender and topped with a creamy gravy!

1 ounce packet onion soup mix
14 ounce can chicken broth, low sodium
10.5 ounce can cream of chicken soup, low sodium
1 ounce packet dry pork gravy mix
4 bone-in pork chops
1 teaspoon garlic powder
3 Tablespoons cornstarch
3 Tablespoons water

Steps:

  • In a 5-6 quart oval slow cooker, combine onion soup mix, chicken broth, cream of chicken soup and pork gravy mix. Whisk together until combined.
  • Season both sides of the chops with a little bit of garlic powder. Place pork chops into the slow cooker. Do your best to spread them out and cover with the gravy mixture.
  • Cover and cook on low about 4-6 hours.
  • Just before the pork chops are done - whisk together the corn starch and cold water in a small bowl. Once it is smooth, pour it in with your pork chops in the slow cooker and stir gently.
  • Cover and switch the slow cooker to high and cook for another 30 minutes (until gravy has thickened.)

Slow Cooker Pork Chops are tender, flavorful, and smothered in a savory, rich and silky gravy. You'll love making this recipe for slow cooker pork chops with gravy.

2 pounds boneless pork loin chops (1 ¼ to 1 ½ inch thick (don't use thin pork chops))
½ teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon ground black pepper
¼ cup all purpose flour
1 teaspoon garlic powder
¾ teaspoon ground mustard
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
1 medium yellow onion (sliced)
2 cloves garlic (minced)
1 x 14-ounce can chicken stock
¼ cup all purpose flour

Steps:

  • Season pork chops with salt and pepper.
  • In a shallow dish, combine the flour with garlic powder and ground mustard.
  • Dredge each pork chop in the flour, and shake off any excess.
  • Heat oil in a skillet over medium high heat, and brown pork chops on both sides until golden brown (work in batches) - about 2-3 minutes per side.
  • Transfer the pork chops to the slow cooker.
  • In the same skillet, sauté the onions until translucent (2-3 minutes), then add the garlic and cook for 30 seconds.
  • Transfer the onions and garlic to the slow cooker.
  • Pour the chicken stock over the chops. Cover and cook on LOW for 2-3 hours. The pork chops are ready when the internal temperature of the meat reaches 145°F/63°C. Make sure that they don't cook for too long and dry out.
  • Remove the pork chops onto a plate, and cover to keep warm.
  • Thicken the gravy by whisking in flour. Cook covered on HIGH until the gravy has thickened.
  • Return pork chops into the gravy to mix together. Serve warm with mashed potatoes and salad or steamed green vegetable (broccoli, green beans, broccolini, or asparagus).

Slow Cook Down Home Pork Chops and Gravy image

I don't even like Pork, but was tricked into tasting this dish when I was told it was chicken. WOW! The meat was sooo tender and juicy; so tender in fact, that it was literally falling apart! It was like nothing I'd ever tasted before! Definitely not like my mother's hard, crusty pork chops! lol! This recipes goes hand in hand w/ some mashed potatoes. Just pour the leftover gravy on the taters' and enjoy!

1/2 cup all-purpose flour
1 1/2 teaspoons dry mustard
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
6 lean boneless pork chops (1 in. thick)
1 (10 3/4 ounce) can condensed chicken broth
2 tablespoons vegetable oil

Steps:

  • Combine 1st four ingredients in a shallow dish.
  • Dredge chops in flour mixture and set aside.
  • Combine what is left of the flour mixture w/ the chicken broth and pour into your crock pot.
  • Pour oil into a large skillet and cook the chops in hot oil until browned on both sides.
  • Place chops in crock pot and cook covered on High for about 2 to 5 hours or until tender.
  • Serve w/ hot rice and/or mashed potatoes.
  • ++If the gravy becomes too thick just add a little water. If you accidentally add too much water then add a little more flour.
  • Season w/ salt and pepper too your taste.

  • Cook on low 6 to 8 hours until they are VERY fork tender. If they still aren't falling apart, cook 30 minutes more and check again (continue until they are how you want them).
