6 pounds smoked sausage, cut into 2-inch pieces
2 bottles (18 ounces each) barbecue sauce
2 cups packed brown sugar

Steps:

  • Divide sausages between two ungreased 13-in. x 9-in. baking dishes. Combine barbecue sauce and brown sugar; pour over sausages and toss to coat. , Bake, uncovered, at 350° for 35-40 minutes or until sauce is thickened, stirring once.

24 chipolata sausages
100g low-sugar ketchup
100g passata
100ml cider vinegar
100g light brown soft sugar
1 garlic clove , crushed
1 tsp chipotle paste
2 tbsp butter
8 wooden or metal skewers (if using wooden, soak in water for at least 15 mins first)

Steps:

  • To make the sauce, combine the ingredients in a saucepan, then season. Bring to the boil and bubble for 3-4 mins until the sugar has completely dissolved and the sauce is glossy. Leave to cool. The sauce will keep in the fridge for up to two weeks or freeze for up to two months.
  • Heat a barbecue until the coals are glowing white hot. Lay six of the sausages next to each other and push one stick through one end of all the sausages and the other stick through the other ends so the sausages look like a ladder (leave a gap between each sausage). Repeat with the other sausages in batches of six.
  • Barbecue the sausages on each side until they are browned and cooked through, then brush with sauce and cook for a minute on each side until sticky-looking. Brush once more with the sauce before serving, and serve the rest of the sauce on the side.

  • Add pepper, onion, broccoli, chicken broth and tomato sauce and simmer for about 10 minutes until vegetables are tender and the liquid is absorbed.

1 medium onion, chopped
1 large sweet red pepper, cut into 1-inch pieces
4 bone-in chicken thighs, skin removed
4 chicken drumsticks, skin removed
1 package (12 ounces) smoked sausage links, cut into 1-inch pieces
1 cup barbecue sauce
Sliced seeded jalapeno pepper, optional

Steps:

  • Place first 5 ingredients in a 4- or 5-qt. slow cooker; top with barbecue sauce. Cook, covered, on low 4-5 hours or until chicken is tender and a thermometer inserted in chicken reads at least 170°-175°., Remove chicken, sausage and vegetables from slow cooker; keep warm. Transfer cooking juices to a saucepan; bring to a boil. Reduce heat; simmer, uncovered, until thickened, 15-20 minutes, stirring occasionally., Serve chicken, sausage and vegetables with sauce. This is an easy and inexpensive quick meal. It was passed down to me from my grandma. My hubby loves it. The kids do to and there the picky type. If you want to cut out extra calories the dont use the rolls it is good no matter how it is done!!!

14 ounces beef smoked sausage (I use hillshire farm brand)
1 (18 ounce) jar barbecue sauce (a sweeter kind works best)
1/4 cup water
12 count of king's hawaiian rolls (optional)

Steps:

  • Cut up sausage into about 10 pieces, then split each one in half so that they can lay flat in a large pan.
  • Fry on medium high on the flat side of the sausage first for about 7 minutes or until browned.
  • Place rolls on a cookie sheet and put in oven at 350 degrees until warm.
  • Then flip sausage and pour BBQ sauce and water in pan and stir
  • Cook for another 7 mins or until sauce is bubbling.
  • Place sausage in rolls and enjoy.
