1 box refrigerated pie crusts, softened according to package directions
6 Granny Smith apples, peeled, cored, and thinly sliced
1 cup Splenda® Stevia Granulated Sweetener
3 tablespoons cornstarch
1 tablespoon pumpkin pie spice
¼ teaspoon salt
Zest and juice of 1 lemon

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 425°F.
  • In a large bowl, combine apples, Splenda Stevia Sweetener, cornstarch, pumpkin pie spice, salt, lemon zest, and lemon juice. Toss to coat evenly.
  • Place 1 pie crust in a 9" pie plate; press firmly into bottom and sides.
  • Transfer apple filling to the pie plate. Top with second crust. Tuck excess top crust under bottom crust edge, pressing edges together to seal; flute. Cut slits or shapes in top crust to vent.
  • Bake for 45 minutes or until pie is golden brown.

2 (9 inch) unbaked pie crusts
7 cups peeled, cored and sliced apples
1 cup white sugar
2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
⅛ teaspoon ground nutmeg
¼ teaspoon salt
2 tablespoons butter

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 425 degrees F (220 degrees C).
  • In a bowl combine apples, sugar, flour, cinnamon, nutmeg and salt. Place mixture in a pastry-lined 9 inch pie plate. Dot with butter and adjust top crust that has been vented.
  • Place in oven and bake at 425 degrees F (220 degrees C) for 10 minutes. Turn oven temperature down to 275-300 degrees F (135-150 degrees C) and bake 40-50 minutes or until crust is golden brown and apples are tender. Let cool and serve.

I found this recipe on a Splenda ad, tried it and modified it a bit. I have made it several times for my husband who will NOT eat anything sugarfree...he really likes this version of apple pie.

1 cup Splenda sugar substitute
1 tablespoon flour
1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
5 granny smith apples, peeled and sliced
1 golden delicious apple, peeled and sliced
1 tablespoon butter, cut up
1 (15 ounce) package of pillsbury refrigerated pie crusts

Steps:

  • Prepare piecrusts according to package directions, fit 1 piecrust into 9 inch pie plate.
  • Stir together Splenda, flour, cinnamon mixture.
  • Stir and coat apples with flour sugar mixture, pour into pie plate, dot with pieces of butter.
  • Place remaining pie crust on top, crimp edges and make slits in top crust or pierce evenly with a fork to allow steam to escape during baking.
  • Bake at 350 degrees for 50-55 minutes.
  • Makes 8 servings.
  • Great with Sugar Free ice cream or Lite Frozen whipped topping on it.

  • Preheat oven to 425°F

This apple pie recipe has so much flavor! I love the mix of apples and cranberry. The strawberry nectar and the extracts make this really delicious. Top with some ice cream and everyone will gobble this up.

3 large fugi apples
- Fruit Fresh
- juice of 1/2 a lemon
3/4 cup(s) Splenda
1/3 cup(s) dried cranberries (plumped)
1/4 cup(s) flour
1/3 cup(s) Jumex Strawberry Nectar (diet)
1 teaspoon(s) ground saigon cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon(s) sea salt
1/8 teaspoon(s) freshly zested nutmeg
1 - capful each: rum, almond & butter extracts
- butter (to dot top of pie, before placing top crust on)
- pastry: make enough dough for a double-crust pie

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 375. Place one pastry in bottom of a 10" round deep-dish pie plate.
  • Peel, core and cut apples into chunks. Sprinkle with Fruit Fresh and squirt with lemon juice (to keep from turning brown); hand-toss to mix.
  • Add Splenda, cranberries, Nectar, cinnamon, salt, nutmeg and extracts to apple chunks and hand-toss to mix.
  • Pour the apple mixture into crust and dot with butter. Place top crust on, crimp edges, sprinkle some Splenda over top crust and place in oven on top of a cookie sheet or aluminum foil to catch drips (if any).
  • Bake for 55 minutes. Cover edges of crust for the last 20 minutes of baking time, so the crust edges don't get too brown.
  • Serve hot from the oven with vanilla ice cream (pie was also "splendid" served at room temperature).

This is the original recipe. I made it more like a cobbler (using no bottom crust at all to save on calories). Also, I used 1 tsp of apple pie spice in place of the cinnamon. It's rustic and homey and legal!!

1 graham cracker crust (you can make your own or use a pre-made one)
1 egg white (slightly beaten)
5 cups fresh peeled apples
1/2 cup Splenda granular
1/4 cup Splenda brown sugar blend
3 tablespoons whole wheat flour
1/4 teaspoon salt
3/4 teaspoon cinnamon
3/4 cup whole wheat flour
1/8 cup Splenda sugar substitute
1/8 cup Splenda brown sugar blend
1/3 cup melted butter, scant

Steps:

  • Brush egg white on crust, bake until light brown, about 6 minutes.
  • Combine next 6 ingredients, mix well, spoon into crust.
  • Mix remaining ingredients and either sprinkle over top OR roll and put on as the top of the pie in thin sheets haphazard for a rustic look. You may need to add a bit more butter if you wish to roll it.
  • Bake at 375 Fahrenheit for about 50 minutes or until bubbly.*.
  • Cool for about 4 hours.
  • *Note: I used a round glass casserole dish and cooked the apples for about 30 mins with the lid on then removed the lid, sprinkled the crust on top and finished baking.

1 1/4 teaspoons cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon allspice
1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
3/4 cup milk
2 tablespoons softened butter
3/4 cup sugar
2 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 1/2 cups Bisquick, divided
1/3 cup brown sugar
3 tablespoons cold butter

Steps:

  • Combine apples-- cinnamon, allspice, and nutmeg in crockpot.
  • Toss thoroughly.
  • Combine milk soften butter, sugar, eggs, vanilla, and 1/2 cup Bisquick.
  • Spoon over apples.
  • Combine the remaining 1 cup Bisquick and brown sugar.
  • Cut cold butter into mixture until crumbly.
  • Sprinkle this mixture over top of apple mixture.
  • Cover and cook on low for 6-7 hours until apples are soft.

1 recipe pastry for a 9 inch double crust pie
¾ cup white sugar
2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
⅛ teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
¼ teaspoon ground nutmeg
6 tart apples - peeled, cored and sliced
2 tablespoons butter
2 tablespoons whiskey

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 450 degrees F (225 degrees C). Fit bottom crust into a 9 inch pie plate.
  • In a small bowl, mix together sugar, flour, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Place sliced apples in a large bowl and sprinkle with sugar mixture. Toss until apples are thoroughly coated. Spoon apples into pan.
  • Dot apples with butter or margarine, then sprinkle with whiskey. Cover with top crust. Seal edges and cut steam vents in top.
  • Bake in preheated oven for 10 minutes. Lower temperature to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) and bake an additional 40 minutes. Serve warm.

  • Using your hands, gather the dough and shape to form 2 separate disks. Place those in a zip-top bag, placing parchment paper in-between to keep them separate. Place the dough in the freezer while you work on the apple pie filling.
  • Add sliced apples to a medium bowl. In a small saucepan, stir together cornstarch, sweetener, cinnamon, cloves and salt. Add water and lemon juice. Cook on medium heat, stirring often, until the mixture is thickened and bubbly; about the consistency of a thick caramel. Then remove from heat and pour the thick sauce over apples, using a rubber spatula to make sure you get all of the sauce out. Gently fold the sauce in so it coats all of the sliced apples.
  • Remove one of the dough disks from the freezer. On a floured surface, roll dough out to at least a 10-inch round. Gently lift dough into a 9-inch pie plate, carefully pressing down in the center. Pour apple mixture in, getting as much of the sauce as you can.
