This Stick of Butter Rice is my favorite side dish of all time. It is beyond simple but it tastes AMAZING!

Number Of Ingredients 4

1 c long grain white rice (uncooked, NOT instant)
10 oz condensed French Onion Soup
10 oz condensed Beef Broth
1/2 c butter ((1 stick) sliced thinly)

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 425 degrees.
  • In a 9x9 inch baking dish combine rice, soup and broth.
  • Cover with foil and bake for 30 minutes.
  • Remove cover and bake 30 minutes more.

1 cup white rice (, uncooked)
10 ounces condensed French Onion Soup
10 ounces condensed Beef Broth (, (or 1 1/4 cups))
1/2 cup unsalted butter (, cut into cubes)

Steps:

  • Preheat the oven to 400 degrees.
  • In an 8x8 baking dish add the rice, onion soup, beef broth and butter, then stir well.
  • Cover and bake for 30 minutes.
  • Remove foil and bake for an additional 30 minutes.

1 cup long grain rice
10 ounces condensed French Onion soup (1 can)
10 ounces beef consommé (1 can)
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
4 ounces butter (thinly sliced)

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 425 degrees.
  • Place 1 cup of rice, 1 can French Onion soup, 1 can beef consommé, 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce in an 8 x 8-inch or 1-quart baking dish.
  • Cut 1 stick of butter into about 9 thin slices and place the slices over the rice.
  • Cover the dish with foil.
  • Bake at 425 degrees for approximately 45 minutes.
  • Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes.

1/4 cup (1/2 stick) margarine
1 teaspoon salt
2 cups long-grain white rice
4 cups water
1/4 cup (1/2 stick) butter, diced
Chopped fresh parsley

Steps:

  • Melt margarine in heavy large saucepan over medium-high heat. Mix in 1 teaspoon salt, then rice. Sauté until rice is golden, about 8 minutes. Add water. Boil until water is absorbed, about 10 minutes. Mix in butter. Cover, reduce heat to very low and cook until rice is tender, stirring occasionally, about 10 minutes. Transfer pilaf to bowl. Sprinkle with parsley and serve.
