Strawberries, marshmallows, chocolate and caramel sauce replace traditional nacho toppings, piled on sweet and crunchy cinnamon-sugar pita chips - a super easy dessert ready in just 10 minutes.

3/4 cup semisweet chocolate chips
3 tablespoons whipping cream
1 bag (8 oz) cinnamon sugar pita chips
1/3 cup caramel topping
1 cup chopped fresh strawberries
1 cup miniature marshmallows
1/2 cup flaked coconut, toasted

Steps:

  • In small bowl, place chocolate chips. In 1-cup microwavable measuring cup, microwave whipping cream uncovered on High 30 seconds or until hot. Pour hot cream over chocolate chips; let stand 1 minute. Stir until melted and smooth.
  • Place pita chips on large serving platter, overlapping slightly. Drizzle with chocolate mixture and caramel topping. Sprinkle with strawberries, marshmallows and coconut. Serve immediately.

3 cups sliced fresh strawberries
1/4 cup sugar
1/4 cup almond flavored liqueur (such as Amaretto) or 1 teaspoon almond extract
3/4 cup sour cream
2 tablespoons sugar
1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
6 6-inch flour tortillas
2 tablespoons melted butter
2 teaspoons sugar
1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
2 tablespoons sliced almonds, toasted
1 tablespoon shaved semisweet chocolate

Steps:

  • Combine strawberries, 1/4 cup sugar and almond-flavored liqueur in a bowl; stir well.
  • Cover and refrigerate for at 1 hour.
  • Combine sour cream, 2 tablespoon sugar and 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon in a small bowl; stir well.
  • Cover and refrigerate.
  • Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
  • Using a pastry brush, lightly brush 1 side of the tortillas with melted butter.
  • Cut each tortilla into 6 wedges and arrange on 2 ungreased baking sheets.
  • Sprinkle tortilla wedges evenly with 2 teaspoon sugar and 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon.
  • Bake for 6 to 8 minutes, or until crisp.
  • Remove from oven and cool.
  • Drain strawberries (if you used the liqueur reserve liquid in a cocktail glass and sip while you finish making this dessert) Place 6 tortilla wedges on each of 6 dessert plates.
  • Top each tortilla wedge with strawberries and a little of the sour cream mixture.
  • Sprinkle toasted almonds and shaved chocolate evenly among nachos.

2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
3 (7 -8 inch) flour tortillas
1/4 cup cinnamon sugar
1/4 cup heavy cream
1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 kiwi, peeled and diced
1 mango, peeled and diced
1/2 cup strawberry, diced
1/4 cup sweetened coconut, toasted
sweetened whipped cream, to garnish

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 400°F.
  • Brush both sides of tortillas with butter and cinnamon sugar.
  • Cut tortillas into eighths.
  • Place on baking sheet and toast about 10 minutes, or until crisp.
  • Heat cream in microwave until steaming.
  • Place chocolate chips in microwave safe bowl.
  • Pour heated cream over chips and let stand 2 minutes.
  • Stir to combine and if necessary, microwave for 20 seconds to fully melt chocolate.
  • In a separate bowl, combine kiwi, mango, and strawberries.
  • Assemble the nachos by layering first the tortilla chips, followed with the fruit mixture, and then drizzle with chocolate sauce.
  • Top with sweetened whipped cream and toasted coconut and enjoy!

  • Cut the tortillas into various triangle shapes. Place in a gallon baggie and pour in melted butter. Shake vigorously to ensure each triangle gets coated. If pieces get stuck together, separate and continue shaking.
  • Bake at 350 degrees F for 8 minutes. Flip and continue cooking for 4 min. Let cool on a wire rack. Chips will get more crispy as they cool.
