3/4 cup sliced fresh strawberries
1/3 cup confectioners' sugar
1 loaf (1 pound) French bread, cut into 1-inch slices
10 large eggs
2/3 cup half-and-half cream or heavy whipping cream
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
STRAWBERRY SAUCE:
4 cups sliced fresh strawberries
1/2 cup sugar
2 tablespoons water
Maple syrup, optional

Steps:

  • In a large bowl, beat the cream cheese, strawberries and confectioners' sugar until blended. Spread about 2 tablespoons on one side of half the bread slices; top with remaining bread. , Place sandwiches in an ungreased 13x9-in. baking dish. In a large bowl, beat the eggs, cream and vanilla. Pour over bread. Turn each sandwich. Cover and refrigerate for 8 hours or overnight. , With a slotted spatula, transfer sandwiches to a greased 15x10x1-in. baking pan. Discard any remaining egg mixture. Bake at 375° for 15 minutes; turn and bake 10 minutes longer or until golden brown. , Meanwhile, for the sauce, combine the strawberries, sugar and water in a large saucepan. Cook over medium heat for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally. Serve French toast with strawberry sauce and maple syrup if desired.

1 ½ cups strawberry, diced, divided
⅓ cup sugar
confectioners sugar

Steps:

  • Whisk eggs, cinnamon, vanilla and milk together in medium-large bowl to create egg wash.
  • In medium bowl mix cream cheese, vanilla, sugar, lemon juice and heavy cream (optional).
  • Take 2 slices of bread and spread mixture on both.
  • Press sliced strawberries on both slices & press together.
  • Dunk in egg wash.
  • Melt butter in a skillet on medium-low heat and cook bread for 2-3 minutes or until crumbs are crispy and bread is more solid.
  • Stack and garnish with strawberries and confectioners sugar. Add maple syrup to preference.

2 (8 ounce) packages cold cream cheese, cut into 1-inch cubes
1 ½ cups sliced fresh strawberries
2 cups half-and-half
12 large eggs
⅓ cup pure maple syrup
1 cup white sugar
1 cup water
2 tablespoons cornstarch
1 cup sliced fresh strawberries
1 tablespoon butter

Steps:

  • Generously grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.
  • Arrange half the bread cubes in the prepared baking dish. Evenly distribute cream cheese cubes over the bread cube layer; sprinkle 1 1/2 cups sliced strawberries atop cream cheese layer. Layer the remaining bread cubes over strawberry layer.
  • Pour half-and-half into a blender; pulse for a few seconds. Blend eggs into half-and-half until fully incorporated. Add maple syrup and blend until smooth. Pour mixture evenly over bread mixture. Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and refrigerate 8 hours or overnight.

1 (8-ounce) package cream cheese, cubed
1 pound strawberries, diced and divided
12 large eggs, beaten
2 cups whole milk
1/3 cup maple syrup
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
1 tablespoon confectioners' sugar

Steps:

  • Lightly coat a 9×13 baking dish with nonstick spray. Place a layer of bread cubes evenly into the baking dish. Top with cream cheese and half the strawberries in an even layer. Top with remaining bread cubes to completely cover the filling. In a large glass measuring cup or another bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, maple syrup, vanilla and salt. 8 ounces cream cheese (cubed)
4 cups sliced fresh strawberries
10 large eggs
2 cups milk
1/3 cup granulated sugar
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/4 teaspoon almond extract (optional)
Pinch of salt
Powdered sugar for garnish

Steps:

  • Layer half of the bread cubes over the bottom of a greased 9x13-inch dish.
  • Place the cream cheese cubes over the bread cubes.
  • Layer the sliced strawberries over the cream cheese, and cover with the remaining bread cubes.
  • Combine the eggs, milk, sugar, vanilla extract, almond extract if using, and pinch of salt in a medium bowl. Mix well.
  • Pour the egg mixture over the bread, and smoosh the bread down a little so that the bread can absorb the egg mixture.
  • Cover and refrigerate overnight.
  • Take the pan out of the refrigerator and leave out while preheating the oven to 375F.

1 tablespoon unsalted butter, softened
2 cups sliced fresh strawberries

There's French toast. And there's strawberry cream cheese stuffed French toast. It's French toast for days when average just won't do.

1 loaf bread (sliced into 1-1.5 inch thick pieces)
1 8-oz package cream cheese (room temperature)
2 tsp vanilla extract
1 1/2 cups strawberries (diced)
3/4 cup heavy cream
4 pcs large eggs (lightly beaten)
1 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp nutmeg
1 tbsp granulated sugar
butter and oil for frying
maple syrup for serving

Steps:

  • Prep your bread by slicing a pocket into each one (see my tips above).
  • In a large bowl, mash together 1 package of cream cheese and 2 teaspoons of vanilla until well combined. Stir in 1 1/2 cups strawberries.
  • Put a generous amount (I put about 2 heaping tablespoons) of your cream cheese mixture inside each bread pocket and press each slice closed. Set aside.
  • In a medium bowl, whisk 3/4 cup heavy cream, 4 eggs, 1 teaspoon cinnamon, 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg and 1 tablespoon sugar until fully incorporated.
  • Soak each bread slice in the custard about 20 seconds each side before frying on medium heat (you can use oil or a combination of oil and butter). Fry until golden (about 2-3 minutes) then flip and continue cooking until the other side is golden too.
  • Serve with maple syrup. You can also sprinkle with confectioner's sugar and serve with extra strawberries if you have it.

1 tablespoon, plus 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
3 tablespoons St. Germain ((elderflower liquor) (optional))
1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
6-8 small-day-old croissants
8 ounces cream cheese, at room temperature
1/3 cup high quality strawberry jam
3 tablespoons melted salted butter, plus more for the pan
2 tablespoons brown sugar
2 tablespoons real maple syrup
1 cup fresh strawberries, sliced horizontally
whipped cream and maple syrup, for serving

Steps:

  • 1. Preheat the oven to 375° F. Grease a baking sheet with butter. 2. In a large shallow dish, whisk together the eggs, milk, 2 tablespoons St. Germain, 1 tablespoon vanilla, and the salt. 3. Grab the croissants and make a 1 inch slit at the top of each, move your knife to create space in the croissant, being careful not to poke through the other sides (see above photos). 4. Bake another 10 minutes, until the croissants are caramelized on top and crisp.7. Toss the berries with 1 tablespoon St. Germain, 1 teaspoon vanilla, and 1 tablespoon maple.
