STROUPE'S SUPER SONIC CHILI

Steps:

• Brown the meats with the onion and drain.
• Throw meats and remaining ingredients into a large pot and cook until it's ready.
• This really is one of those "taste it as you put it together" recipes but it is so worth the little bit of angst you may feel over not having exact measurements. Serve it with cheese, sour cream, or try it over rice for a different twist ... but don't forget the crackers or Mexican cornbread!

SUPER EASY CHILI RECIPE

Steps:

• In large stock pot, brown the ground beef. When it is close to being finished, add the onions and cook until the beef is browned and the onions are translucent. If you use lean ground beef, there is no need to drain. (If you use a fattier ground beef, it's a good idea to drain the grease) Add in the chili seasoning and chili powder and stir well. Next add the remaining ingredients. Let simmer for 10 minutes. Serve while hot! You can add cheese, crackers, chopped onion, or even some sour cream to give it an extra kick!

SPICE MIX FOR CHILI

Steps:

• In a small bowl, combine all of the seasonings. Store in an airtight container in a cool, dry place for up to 6 months. Yield: 3 batches (about 6 tablespoons total)., To prepare chili: In a large saucepan or Dutch oven, cook the beef, onion and mushrooms if desired over medium heat until meat is no longer pink; drain. , Stir in the tomatoes, beans, soup, 2 tablespoons spice mix, Worcestershire sauce and garlic. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat; cover and simmer for 20 minutes, stirring occasionally. Garnish with cheese.

SUPER SONIC CHILI

Steps:

• 1. In a large dutch oven, brown beef and onions. drain. add garlic and cook 3 more mins.
• 2. Add all tomatoes, chili seasonings, and tomato juice. Bring to a simmer.
• 3. Add both beans and Cider Vinagar. stir. Bring back to a boil.
• 4. Cook in crock pot .
• 5. Cut each tamale into 3 pieces. last 15 mins of cooking, add tamales. Stir slowly so not to break up tamales. Serve..

SONIC EXTREME CHILI CHEESE TOTS

Steps:

• Prepare the tater tots according to package directions.
• While the tater tots are cooking, heat the chili in a small pan over low heat.
• Place the cooked tater tots in a bowl or on a small plate.
• Top with chili, cheese, onions, and jalapeno slices.
• Drizzle ranch dressing over the top.

CHUCK'S SUPER CHILI

Steps:

• Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat and stir in Italian sausage and ground sirloin. Cook and stir until meat is crumbly, evenly browned, and no longer pink. Drain and discard any excess grease.
• Transfer meat to a large Dutch oven; place over medium-high heat. Stir in chopped onion; add red, yellow, and green bell peppers, garlic, and jalapeno peppers. Cook and stir until onion is translucent, about 5 minutes.
• Mix in chili powder, brown sugar, cumin, tomato paste, oregano, salt, black pepper, and bay leaves. Cook and stir until fragrant, about 3 minutes more.
• Stirring constantly, pour in wine, chopped tomatoes and their juice, kidney beans, tomato sauce, and chopped chipotle chiles in sauce. Bring to a boil. Cover, reduce heat to low, and simmer, stirring occasionally, for 1 hour.
• Uncover and simmer, stirring occasionally, until thickened, about 30 minutes. Discard bay leaves before serving.
