SWEET AND SPICY MEATLOAF
Steps:
- Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Saute the green peppers, red peppers and onions until very soft and browned, 10 to 12 minutes. Transfer to a plate or baking sheet and refrigerate until cold. (This can be done a day ahead.)
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
- Mix the breadcrumbs, milk and roasted garlic in a bowl; it should have an oatmeal-like consistency. Set aside.
- In another bowl, mix the ketchup, steak sauce, sriracha, maple syrup and steak seasoning. If the sauce is too spicy for you, add a little more ketchup to mellow the heat. Set aside.
- In a bowl, combine the ground beef, sausage, parsley, eggs, pepper-onion mixture and two-thirds of the meatloaf sauce. Mix well, but don't overwork. Take a small ball of the mixture and make a bite-size patty. Saute the patty in a pan until cooked through, then taste. Add salt and pepper to the meatloaf mix as needed.
- When you are happy with the flavor, place the meatloaf mixture in a greased loaf pan, or form it into a log and place it on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Bake until the internal temperature reaches 155 degrees F, 1 to 1 1/2 hours. Remove from the oven; adjust the oven to a low broil. Brush the top of the loaf with half of the remaining sauce, then return to the oven to caramelize the sauce, 2 to 3 minutes. Let rest for 20 minutes before slicing. Serve with mashed potatoes and a drizzle of the remaining sauce.
SWEET AND SPICY MEATLOAF
This spicy meat loaf is not only super easy, it's also something that both kids and adults will love!! Take it from someone who has the world's pickiest family. You can either use the remaining barbeque sauce on top of the loaf before baking, or serve it on the side after the meal is cooked.

SWEET AND SPICY MEATLOAF
I first had this at a church supper. It was delicious and asked for the recipe. I was amazed to see that there were not many ingredients in it. I now make this one and alternate it with my regular one Recipe #102545. The Sweet & Spicy Meatloaf has only a few ingredients and is delicious, and my regular one has more in it, but is delicious too. This has a nice sauce on top. I always thought that if there were more ingredients in a meatloaf, it would taste better, but not necessarily so. This is very,very tasty!

Steps:
- Mix the hamburg, bread crumbs, milk, onion, salt, and pepper together.
- Make into a loaf and place in a 9x13 pan.
- Set the oven for 350 degrees.
- SAUCE: Mix the catsup, brown sugar, and dry mustard together.
- Put half of the sauce on the meatloaf and bake for 20 minutes.
- Get rid of any grease.
- Put the rest of the sauce on and bake for another 25 minutes (total of 45 minutes).
- Let sit for about 10 minutes.

- Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F. Pulse the bread in a food processor until finely ground; transfer to a large bowl. Add the onion and carrot to the food processor and pulse until finely chopped. Transfer to the bowl with the bread and add the turkey, beef, egg and 1/2 teaspoon each curry powder, salt and pepper. Mix by hand until just combined. Shape into 4 small oblong meatloaves on a foil-lined rimmed baking sheet. Mix the ketchup and chutney in a small bowl and brush over the meatloaves. Bake until just cooked through, about 20 minutes.
- Meanwhile, bring a pot of salted water to a boil. Add the potatoes and cook 4 minutes, then add the broccoli florets and stem; cook until the vegetables are just tender, about 6 more minutes. Drain; return to the pot. Toss with the olive oil and the remaining 1/8 teaspoon curry powder. Season with salt and pepper. Serve with the meatloaves.

SWEET AND SOUR MUFFIN-TIN MEATLOAVES
These little meatloaves don't take long and are pretty darn tasty. A bit different from the other sweet and sour meatloaf recipes here at Zaar. I think the muffin tin idea is perfect and these are great for OAMC, especially because of their size. How convenient for those of us who cook for one or two to use the size as portion control too. Even if you don't like the recipe, use your own recipe in the muffin tins for quick OAMC opportunities.

- Preheat the oven to 400 degrees and spray a 12-muffin tin.
- Mix 1/2 Cup of the ketchup, brown sugar, and vinegar in a small bowl.
- In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, egg, onion, bread crumbs, and the other 1/2 cup ketchup; season with salt and pepper. Combine ingredients well, but don't overwork the meat.
- Place 2 1/2 teaspoons of the sauce in the bottom of the prepared muffin tin. Form the meat mixture into 12 equal balls and place in the muffin tin, pressing down to smooth the top of meat.
- Cook the meat loaves until no longer pink in the middle and juices bubble around the edges, about 20 minutes.
- Remove from the oven and rest 5 minutes before removing from the muffin tins. I find this is easiest if you place a platter on top of the muffin tin, grab it with oven mits, then flip, like you would a round cake. Most all of the sauce should come out with the meat if you let the tin sit upside down on the platter for a minute or two. Scoop out any of the sauce left and smear it on the loaves.

- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
- Heat butter in a large heavy skillet over medium heat; cook and stir onion, green onions, carrot, celery, and garlic until fragrant, about 5 minutes. Cover skillet with a lid and cook, stirring occasionally, until carrot is tender, about 5 more minutes. Stir 1/3 cup ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper into vegetable mixture; cook until warmed through, about 1 minute.
