SWEET & SALTY CRISPIX MIX

Steps:

• Mix cereal, pretzels and nuts in a large bowl, set aside. You may even want to divide this up into two bowls to make the stirring easier in the next steps.
• Boil the butter, sugar, syrup, and vanilla in a saucepan for 3 minutes.
• Pour syrup mixture over the cereal and mix until well coated.
• Spread on waxed paper on baking sheets to cool.

SWEET CRISPIX (OR CHEX) PARTY MIX

Steps:

• mix cereal and nuts together in large bowl. set aside. melt butter, sugar and corn syrup in sauce pan over medium heat, boil 1 minute stirring constantly. remove from heat and stir in baking soda. stir 1 minute. (it will be foamy.). quickly pour mixture over cereal and nuts and stir until well combined. You can now use the oven or microwave. Microwave: your cereal mixture must be in a microwave safe bowl. Cook on high for 1 minute; stir and repeat 4 more times. Oven: put cereal mixture on cookie sheets covered with parchment paper. bake at 250 F for 15 min. Stir and bake another 15min. For Both methods: after baking or microwaving, spread the mixture out on the counter, covered with wax paper (or parchment paper )that has been sprayed with Pam. Let cool then break into pieces.

SWEET CRISPIX MIX

Steps:

• Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees.
• Spray a 9 X 13 pan with cooking spray.
• Break pecan halves in half.
• Mix together cereal, pretzels, and pecans in the pan.
• Melt together butter and brown sugar.
• Drizzle brown sugar mixture over cereal mixture.
• Mix all together.
• Bake at 350 degrees for 8 minutes.
• Stir.
• Bake an additional 8 minutes.
• Continue to stir mixture until completely cool or it will harden into one big mound.

CRISPIX MIX® SWEET MINGLERS

Steps:

• In large microwave safe bowl, melt chocolate at HIGH 1 minute. Stir and heat 30 seconds longer at HIGH or until melted when stirred. Stir in peanut butter and peanuts. Gently stir in KELLOGG'S CRISPIX cereal, until evenly coated.
• Place powdered sugar in 2-gallon zipper-type plastic bag. Add coated cereal to sugar and close bag. Gently toss cereal mixture until evenly coated. Store in airtight container in refrigerator. Microwave cooking times may vary.

CHRISTMAS CRISPIX® MIX

Steps:

• Preheat oven to 250 degrees F (120 degrees C). Lightly butter a large roasting pan.
• Mix corn and rice cereal, pecans, and almonds together in the prepared roasting pan.
• Combine brown sugar, corn syrup, and butter in a saucepan; bring to a boil. Heat to 240 degrees F (115 degrees C) or until a small amount of syrup dropped into cold water forms a soft ball that flattens when removed from the water and placed on a flat surface. Remove saucepan from heat and stir vanilla extract into syrup.
• Drizzle syrup over cereal mixture and toss to coat.
• Bake cereal mixture in the preheated oven for 30 minutes; stir and continue baking for 30 minutes more. Spread cereal mixture in 1 layer onto 2 lightly buttered baking sheets, separating any large chunks with 2 forks; allow to cool.

HONEY-GLAZED CRISPY SNACK MIX

Steps:

• In a large bowl, combine the cereal, pretzels and pecans; set aside. In a small saucepan, melt butter; stir in honey until well blended. Pour over cereal mixture and stir to coat. Spread into two greased 15x10x1-in. baking pans. Bake at 350° for 12-15 minutes or until mixture is lightly glazed, stirring occasionally. Cool in pan for 3 minutes; remove from pan and spread on waxed paper to cool completely. Store in an airtight container.

Steps:

• 1. In large microwave safe bowl, melt chocolate at HIGH 1 minute. Stir and heat 30 seconds longer at HIGH or until melted when stirred. Stir in peanut butter and peanuts. Pour mixture over cereal in large mixing bowl. Gently stir until evenly coated. Follow step 2 above.
