SWEET & SPICY BACON WRAPPED CHICKEN

This easy Sweet & Spicy Bacon Chicken recipe will have your family begging for more -- slightly spicy, sweet chicken wrapped in bacon and baked or grilled up in about 30 minutes.

Ingredients

4 chicken breasts, cut in thirds (12 pieces)
12 slices of bacon
2 teaspoons salt
2 teaspoons pepper
2 teaspoons Garlic Powder
2 teaspoons Chili Powder
2/3 cup brown sugar
2 Tablespoons Olive Oil

Steps:

Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
Cut each chicken breast into thirds, leaving you with 12 pieces.
Lay chicken pieces in a 9x13 baking dish, coat with 2 Tablespoons of Olive Oil. (can use non-stick cooking spray also) Sprinkle chicken with spices, flip over and sprinkle the other side.
Wrap each piece of chicken with a slice of bacon. Roll in brown sugar.
Bake for 30-40 minutes, or until chicken is cooked through and bacon is nice and crispy.
Drizzle with glaze it made and serve.

4 chicken breasts cut in thirds, about 12 pieces
12 bacon slices
1 teaspoon salt, plus more to taste
1 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper, plus more to taste
2 teaspoons garlic powder, plus more to taste
1 teaspoon chili powder, plus more to taste
1 cup brown sugar
2 or 3 tablespoons olive oil

Steps:

Cut each breast into 3 pieces, season the chicken with the spices, salt, and black pepper. Wrap a bacon slice around each piece of chicken. Roll in brown sugar. Place into an ovenproof dish greased with the olive oil. Bake at 400°F for 30 to 40 minutes or until chicken is cooked through and bacon is brown and crispy. Delicious served with mashed potatoes with some of the gravy from the chicken drizzled on top.

Preheat oven to 350° convection. In a large mixing bowl, combine 2/3 cup dark brown sugar, 2 tablespoons chili powder, and 1/2 teaspoon cumin. Mix well.
Clean and trim about 1 1/4 pounds of skinless boneless chicken breast. Cut into approx 1-inch cubes.
Cut the bacon in half, roll around the chicken cubes, and secure with a toothpick. This is the point to cover and refrigerate for better timing. You can keep tightly covered refrigerated for up to a day.
