Steps:
- In a medium saucepan whisk together the cocoa powder, sugar, salt, and water. Stirring constantly, bring this chocolate mixture to a boil. Simmer for 1- 2 minutes, monitor carefully, to prevent burning.
- Stir in the milk, maple syrup and vanilla and heat until very warm without boiling or simmering.
- Serve immediately, taking care that the chocolate will be hot! Add marshmallows as a garnish.

- Start off by adding your milk to a stock pot.
- Heat over medium heat until it's simmering and bubbling around the edges. Do not scorch!
- Once milk is bubbling add sweetened condensed milk, vanilla & instant coffee* and stir constantly until sweetened condensed milk is mixed through.
- Add chocolate chips and stir until they are fully melted.
- Ladle into mugs and top with your favorite hot chocolate toppings and enjoy!

- Heat a large saucepan over medium-high heat. In a small bowl whisk together the cocoa powder, granulated sugar, and salt. Pour 1 cup of the milk into the sauce pan and add the cocoa powder and sugar mixture. Whisk until smooth and all of the lumps are removed.
- Add the remaining milk and whisk together well. Heat the hot chocolate mixture until very warm, but do not boil.
- Remove the hot chocolate from the heat and add ½ of a bar of milk chocolate. Mix until the chocolate is melted. Add vanilla if desired.
