AMAZING GARLIC CHIVE NOODLES



Amazing Garlic Chive Noodles image

This is a random thing I threw together for my two year old one day when I was out of his favorite noodles. You may need to adjust the bullion to your own taste if you don't find this is strong enough... but that is easy enough to do. I remove the pieces of garlic in my son's portion- but I love it.

Number Of Ingredients 7

2 1/2-3 cups egg noodles
2 -3 garlic cloves, sliced
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 -2 tablespoon butter
1 tablespoon dried chives
1/2 soup stock bouillon cube (any flavor)
2 tablespoons milk

Steps:

  • Cook noodles as per directions, and while they are cooking make the garlic chive sauce.
  • Melt butter, with olive oil, in a pan.
  • Add garlic and cook about 2 minutes, until the butter browns a bit. Be careful to not overcook the garlic.
  • Pour mixture over cooked, drained noodles and add the bullion and milk.
  • Stir well and let sit one minute. Enjoy!
  • For Vegetarian use Vegetarian stock bouillon cubes.

Garlic Noodles With Vegetable ( Cheesecake Factory Style) image

Asparagus, Mushrooms, Steamed brocolli and tomatoes sauteed with garlic and butter and tossed with boled spaghettini! Can't ask for an easier yet uber flavorful dinner or lunch!

300 g spaghettini
15 stalks asparagus, cut into 1-inch pieces
1/2 head broccoli, cut into bite sized florets
7 -8 shiitake mushrooms, cleaned and sliced
2 tvsp evoo extra virgin olive oil
2 tablespoons butter
6 -7 fresh garlic cloves, finely minced
2 tablespoons grated parmesan cheese
1/2 medium tomatoes, deseeded and chopped
1 teaspoon salt (or to taste)
1/2 teaspoon black pepper

Steps:

  • Prep the vegetables as described in the ingredients section.
  • Heat a pot of water, add salt and a couple of drops of EVOO and boil the spaghettini till aldente! About 7-8 mins (Do not overcook! ).
  • At about 6 minutes add the broccoli florets to the pasta and let it cook.
  • In the meanwhile when the noodles are cooking, heat the oil and butter in a large pan, add minced garlic and saute. Add the asparagus and mushrooms and saute for 3-5 mins.
  • Drain pasta and broccoli into a colander.
  • Add the pasta and broccoli to the pan, toss in the chopped fresh tomatoes, add salt and pepper and mix well.
  • Transfer to a serving dish and sprinkle grated parmesan.
  • Enjoy delicious hot garlic noodles!

1 (3 lb) bag sun noodle brand fresh yakisoba noodles
2 tablespoons cooking oil
2 tablespoons minced fresh garlic
2 tablespoons granulated garlic powder
1 cup chicken broth
2 tablespoons soy sauce
1 teaspoon fish sauce
3 tablespoons oyster sauce

Steps:

  • Loosen the yakisoba noodles in a large pan.
  • In a large sauté pan (non-stick preferably), add the cooking oil, cook in medium heat.
  • Add the fresh garlic, about 10 seconds, add the granulated garlic.
  • Add the noodles right away, then, add the chicken broth.
  • Stir the noodles around to blend with the garlic mix.
  • Add the soy sauce, and then the fish sauce.
  • Stir constantly but be careful not to break the noodles apart.
  • Cook until noodles are smooth and coated (about 10 minutes).
  • Add the oyster sauce and stir about 5 more minutes.
  • Serve plain or with any of the toppings mentioned above.

2 tablespoons olive oil
2 -4 tablespoons margarine or 2 -4 tablespoons butter
4 garlic cloves, minced
1 teaspoon garlic powder
3 -4 tablespoons minced dried chives

Steps:

  • In a large pot, cook spaghetti. We like to break the spaghetti in half before cooking.
  • Drain and keep warm.
  • In the large pot, heat olive oil and butter and cook garlic for 1-2 minutes.
  • Add back in the spaghetti, garlic powder and chives.
  • Serve warm and enjoy.
