1 cup shortening
3/4 cup sugar
3/4 cup brown sugar
2 eggs
2 TBS. hot water
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking soda
2 1/2 cups flour
chocolate chips

Steps:

  • Cream shortening and sugars together. Beat in remaining ingredients. Drop teaspoon full on baking sheet and bake at 355 for 12 minutes. Cookies will be light.

2 ½ cups flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
1 cup butter, softened
1 cup packed brown sugar
½ cup granulated sugar
2 eggs
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
1 (12 ounce) bag semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 cup coarsely chopped nuts

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Line cookie sheets* with Reynolds Parchment Paper; set aside. On another sheet of Reynolds® Parchment Paper, combine flour, baking soda, salt and cinnamon; set aside.
  • Beat together butter, brown sugar and granulated sugar in a large mixing bowl, with an electric mixer, until light and fluffy. Beat in eggs and vanilla.
  • Add flour mixture gradually to butter mixture; beat until well blended. Stir in chocolate chips and nuts. Drop by rounded tablespoons onto parchment-lined cookie sheets.
  • Bake 10 to 12 minutes or until lightly browned. Cool.

1 cup packed brown sugar
2 eggs
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
1 teaspoon baking soda
2 teaspoons hot water
½ teaspoon salt
3 cups all-purpose flour
2 cups semisweet chocolate chips
1 cup chopped walnuts

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
  • Cream together the butter, white sugar, and brown sugar until smooth. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla. Dissolve baking soda in hot water. Add to batter along with salt. Stir in flour, chocolate chips, and nuts. Drop by large spoonfuls onto ungreased pans.
  • Bake for about 10 minutes in the preheated oven, or until edges are nicely browned.
