UNBELIEVABLE STAIN REMOVER

Unbelievable Stain Remover image

A stain of indeterminate color and unknown origin appeared on my kitchen sink the other day, and I found this amazing remedy in Clean House Clean Planet (by Karen Logan).

Time 3m

Yield 1 serving(s)

Number Of Ingredients 2

2 -3 tablespoons salt
1 lime

Steps:

  • Wet the stain with some of the lime juice.
  • Sprinkle liberally with salt.
  • Add enough more lime juice to make the salt into a paste.
  • Leave it sit for several hours or overnight.
  • Rub and rinse.
  • Is the stain gone?.
  • If it's not, try repeating.
  • You can add a bit of flour if the stain is on a vertical surface to make it stick.
  • Works well on rust and other stains.

STAIN REMOVER FOR CLOTHES

Stain Remover for Clothes image

My daughter spilled a cup of grape juice on her hot pink shirt. This did the trick, and the shirt's still pink! I got this from my sister in law and am posting it here so I don't lose it. The "dish detergent" is actually Cascade automatic dishwasher detergent-it wouldn't let me enter that as an ingredient.

Provided by Kaarin

Categories     Household Cleaner

Time P1DT5m

Yield 1 gallon

Number Of Ingredients 3

1/3 cup dish detergent, cascade dishwasher detergent (powder or liquid)
1/2 cup Clorox 2 Bleach (for colors)
1 gallon hot water

Steps:

  • Mix all ingredients. Add the soiled clothes.
  • Don't mix colors as this does make the dyes bleed some.
  • Let soak 24 hours.
  • Put all in a wash machine and run a regular cycle.
  • Hope this works as well for you as it did for me!
