- Combine all ingredients in a large pitcher, stir until sugar dissolves.
- Cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight.
- Remove cloves and cinnamon sticks before serving. Serving size: 3/4 cup.

- In a heavy medium saucepan, combine water, sugar, cloves, cinnamon, star anise, vanilla pod and ginger. Bring to a boil, reduce to a simmer and cook 10 minutes. Turn off heat and let sit 30 minutes to infuse. Strain into large bowl. Add wine and fruit juices and stir well. Serve in pitchers over lots of ice.

- In a small saucepan, over high heat, combine the water, sugar, cinnamon and star anise. Bring the mixture to a light boil then reduce the heat to low and simmer for 5-10 minutes. Remove from heat and let the syrup steep and cool to room temperature. For this recipe, you will only use 1/4 cup of the simple syrup. The rest will keep covered, in the refrigerator, for up to 3 weeks.
- Pour the wine into a large bowl or pitcher. Add the pomegranate juice and liqueurs and mix well.

- Winter White Wine Sangria. To start us off, this is my all-time favorite white sangria for winter! It's refreshing, tart, and so tasty.
