Who said wontons are only for Chinese food? You're going to love this recipe for easy blueberry wonton pies. It comes together in just a few minutes and it's absolutely delicious (and not even too bad for you!) Check it out.

- Place wonton wrappers in a mini muffin tray, pressing the wrapper into the tins so that they create little cups Bake for 5-7 minutes in a 350-degree oven
- Remove from oven and let cool
- Scoop some fruit into the cups and garnish with some whipping cream

FINGER LICKIN' GOOD MINI PIES WITH HERO FRUIT SPREAD

- Combine fresh blueberries, blueberry jam and flour in a bowl, stir to mix well.
- Repeat to make the strawberry filling.
- Place a wonton wrapper on a lightly floured cutting board and spoon about 1 tablespoon of the filling on one side of the wrapper.
- Dip your fingers in egg mixture and wet the outer edge of the wonton wrapper.
- Fold the wrapper in half over the filling, making a half-sqaure shape.
- Pinch the edges together and then seal the edges with a fork, make sure all the filling stays inside.
- Repeat with remaining wrappers and filling.
- Heat a large pot of oil to 350- 375 °F, deep fry the mini fruit pies in medium heat for 1 to 2 minutes or until the color of the wrapper turns golden brown.
- Cook in small batches as needed.
- Rest the mini fruit pies on paper towel to drain oil and transfer to a large plate.
- Top them with powdered sugar and garnish with fresh mint leaves to serve and enjoy while warm!
APPLE PIE WONTONS
Apple Pie Wontons in the Air Fryer are my new favorite dessert! Just a handful of ingredients make this apple and caramel sweet treat.

Steps:
- Stir the apple pie filling, sugar and cinnamon in a bowl.
- Lay the Wonton wrappers out on flat surface close to the air fryer.
- Place 1 1/2 teaspoons of the filling in the middle of the wonton wrapper.
- Place a dollop of caramel sauce on top of the filling.
- Dip a teaspoon in the caramel sauce and using the back of the spoon, run it around the edges of the wonton wrapper.
- Pull the 4 edges of the wrapper up in a little bunch and pinch together to secure the wonton.
- Place in the air fryer and when the it's full, spray with the spray oil, coating the wonton's.
- Close the air fryer and set the time for 7 minutes, and the temperature at 350 degrees.
- When the wonton's have finished cooking, remove them from the air fryer basket and place on a plate.
- Continue until you've finished all the wonton's needed.
- Drizzle the wonton's with caramel sauce and sprinkle generously with powdered sugar before serving.

- Lay out Wonton wrappers. Mix water & cornstarch in a small bowl and set aside. Place approximately 2 tblsp of pie filling in center of Wonton. (do not overfill) Using finger, dip into cornstarch mixture & run finger around the edges of Wonton to seal. Fold in two opposite end points, then roll, like a burrito. (at this point these can be frozen on a cookie sheet, then placed in a Ziploc bag to freeze) Heat oil and fry. Drain on a paper towel then sprinkle with powdered sugar. (make a dipping sauce like caramel for the apple, etc)

- Beat cream cheese with an electric mixer on low in a bowl until slightly fluffy. Add peach, confectioners' sugar, and vanilla extract; beat until mixed. Cover bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate to chill slightly, about 10 minutes.
- Heat vegetable oil in a deep-fryer or large saucepan to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
- Place a wonton wrapper on a work surface; spoon about 1 tablespoon cream cheese mixture into the center. Pour water into a small bowl, dip your finger in the water, and swipe all 4 sides of the wrapper. Fold one corner of the wrapper over the filling, forming a triangle shape. Press the edges of the wrapper down to seal all the sides. Repeat with remaining wrappers and filling.
- Fry 4 to 5 wontons at a time in the hot oil until lightly browned, about 3 minutes per side. Remove with a slotted spoon; drain on a paper towel-lined plate. Repeat with remaining wontons.

- Preheat oven to 375 F degrees.
- Prepare a muffin tray by spraying each muffin cup with cooking spray then lay a wonton wrapper in each muffin cup.
- In a sauce pan add the water, sugar, cinnamon, vanilla and flour and whisk over medium heat until mixture thickens as the flour cooks.
- Add the apples to the sauce pan and continue cooking for another 10 minutes until the apples are soft.
- Drop a tablespoonful of the apple mixture in each muffin cup.
- Bake for about 10 minutes or until the edges of the wonton wrappers begin to brown and crisp.

FRUIT FILLED WON TONS ALA MODE

- Open can of pie filling and mince fruit well.
- Place one teaspoon of filling on the center of a wonton wrapper. Place another won ton wrapper on top and seal the edges with water. Don't let any filling spill over or won ton will not seal. Press edges with a fork to ensure a tight seal and to create a decorative edge.
- Deep fry in a fryer till golden brown at 400* about 3 minutes.
- Remove from oil and drain on paper towels.
- Place 1 scoop of vanilla ice cream into 4 pretty little bowls and microwave them all at the same time for 20 seconds to soften the ice cream.
- Add 4 won ton fruit crisps on top of each and serve to guests who think you are brilliant.
- If using peach or apple, dust lightly with cinnamon.
- If using pumpkin, dust lightly with nutmeg.
- If using cherry, get out of the way or the sparks from the spoon hitting the bowl will put your eyes out.
- They are good. Really.
- There will be a lot of filling left over from your can, unfortunately. A shame to waste it- but- you can always have cherry, peach, or apple pie filling with cottage cheese for a protein rich breakfast the next day. Or pour the filling over pancakes. The point is -- well there really is no point -- does there always have to be one?

WONTON FRUIT CUPS
This was inspired by Creamy Fruit Cups (recipe #15419). I could only find fresh red grapes in my small town and had to improvise with other ingredients. I was pleased with the final result. I served these as part of buffet of finger foods at a breakfast party, but they could easily be a light dessert or part of an afternoon luncheon.

- Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- Spray mini muffin pan with cooking spray.
- Place a wonton wrapper in each muffin cup. Be careful to make sure that the edges of the wrapper do not fold back into the cup.
- Bake for 10 minutes, or until golden brown.
- Remove from muffin pan and cool completely.
- Combine grapes and yogurt.
- (Can be prepared to this point for later assembly.).
- To assemble fruit cups, spoon some grape mixture into each wonton cup.
- Top with a mandarin orange segment.
- Garnish with mint leaves, if desired.

WONTON PIE BITES
A co-worker brought these to a luncheon one day, several years ago, and they were a big hit. She shared her recipe with me and I have been making them since. They are handy because some people don't want a big slice of cake or pie but enjoy just a bite or two of something sweet. When I make large batches, I will make a batch of 2 or 3 different flavors of pie filling. I will use a different garnish on each flavor or fold them into different shapes to identify . - In a shallow dish, mix sugar and cinnamon. Set aside.
- In a small bowl, whisk together the egg and the water for the egg wash.
- Place one wonton wrapper on a clean, dry surface. With a small pastry brush or a spoon, paint the edges of the wonton wrapper with the egg wash. Then spoon 1 teaspoon of the pie filling in the middle. Fold over to form a triangle and seal very well. Repeat for remaining. Make sure you have a good, tight seal, otherwise the filling will leak out and cause oil splatters.
- Heat oil to 375 degrees.
- Carefully slide in a few wontons into the oil with a long-handled spoon. (Use a screen to protect you from the oil.)
- Fry for 1 minute on each side, until golden brown. Drain on rack.
- While still warm, sprinkle won ton on both sides with sugar/cinnamon mixture or powdered sugar and place back on rack to cool. (It's fun to have some of each for variety.)
- Transfer to a serving tray or to individual serving dishes.
- These are great served warm but are also very good at room temperature.
