Quick and Easy Dirt Cups image

Fun dessert for kids. Garnish cups with gummy worms, frogs, and flowers.

2 cups cold milk
1 (4 ounce) package instant chocolate pudding mix
1 (8 ounce) container frozen whipped topping, thawed
1 (16 ounce) package chocolate sandwich cookies, crushed

Steps:

  • Beat milk and pudding mix together in a bowl until well blended and slightly thickened; let stand to thicken, about 5 minutes.
  • Stir whipped topping and 1/2 of the crushed cookies into pudding. Spoon 1 tablespoon crushed cookies into each serving cup. Fill each cup 3/4-full with pudding mixture and top with remaining crushed cookies. Refrigerate for 1 hour.

1 package (3.9 oz.) JELL-O Vanilla Flavor Instant Pudding
2 cups cold milk
6 vanilla creme-filled chocolate sandwich cookies, finely crushed
green and yellow gel food coloring
candy decorations (sugar candies like green zombie hands, ghosts, etc.)

Steps:

  • ADD several drops of green food coloring (around 5-7 drops) and a few yellow drops of food coloring (around 2-3 drops) to milk to get desired lime green color. Whisk until blended.
  • BEAT pudding mix and green milk in medium bowl with whisk for 2 minutes.
  • POUR pudding into five 6 oz. dessert cups. Refrigerate at least five minutes to set pudding.
  • COVER with crushed chocolate sandwich cookies to resemble dirt. Insert candy decorations (such as zombie hand) into top and refrigerate until serving.

3 1/4 cups cold milk
2 (3 1/2 ounce) packages chocolate flavor instant pudding and pie filling mix
1 (8 ounce) container whipped topping, thawed, divided
20 Oreo cookies, crushed, divided
30 miniature semisweet chocolate chips

Steps:

  • POUR milk into large bowl.
  • Add dry pudding mixes.
  • Beat with wire whisk 2 minute or until well blended.
  • Gently stir in half each of the whipped topping and cookie crumbs.
  • SPOON 1 tablespoons of the remaining cookie crumbs into each of 15 (6-oz.) paper or plastic cups (clear is better so you can see the layers). Cover evenly with layers of the pudding mixture and remaining cookie crumbs.
  • DROP remaining whipped topping by spoonfuls onto desserts to resemble ghosts.
  • Add chocolate chips for the eyes.
  • Serve immediately. Or, refrigerate until ready to serve.
  • Cover and store leftover desserts in refrigerator.
