FRESH GRILLED CORN ON THE COB
Steps:
- Gather the ingredients.
- Leaving the husks on, only remove the silk.
- Soak in water for at least 15 to 20 minutes.
- Mix the fresh herbs to the softened butter and reserve.
- Remove from water and pull down husks carefully without removing.
- Coat the corn with the herbal butter .
- Put the husks back up covering the corn and tie with a thin piece of husk at the top.
- Place on a heated grill for about 15 minutes, turning often. Once corn kernels are tender, remove from heat and serve.
- Enjoy!

I learned this from a shopper in Stockbridge, Massachusetts when I was young. I have used this for 40 years and it has never failed to produce the most wonderful corn on the cob.

- Bring a large pot of water to a boil. Stir sugar into water to dissolve; add corn, cover pot, and turn heat off, leaving pot on hot burner.
- Steep corn in hot water until tender, about 25 minutes.

MICROWAVE CORN ON THE COB
This is a no-nonsense recipe for corn on the cob. Perfect for when you run out of stove or grill space. I freeze the corn on the cob in plastic bags, and remove a single ear of frozen corn in the cold winter months to have the sweet taste of summer corn throughout the year!

- Wet a paper towel, and wring out. Wrap the ear of corn in the moist towel, and place on a dinner plate. Cook in the microwave for 5 minutes. Carefully remove paper towel, and enjoy!

2 MINUTE CORN ON THE COB
You will be amazed at how corn on the cob which usually took 30 minutes to an hour now takes 2 minutes per ear. My grandmother was out here in Denver visiting me (she is from Alabama) and she showed me this. I couldnt beleive how a microwave could do an ear of corn so good!

Steps:
- Take the outer layer of the husk off of the corn and discard, leaving the clean part of the husk and silk intact.
- Wrap the damp paper towel over the ear of corn and place it in the microwave.
- Microwave the corn on high for exactly 2 minutes.
- Take it out of the microwave and peel the husk away and carefully remove the silk.
- Season to your taste and enjoy.
- Note: For two ears heat them on high for 4 minutes, add two minutes for each additional ear of corn.

- 1. In a pot of salted boiling water, cook the corn, covered, for about 4 minutes. Drain and set aside.
- 2. Return the pot to medium heat and melt the butter.
- 3. Add the lime juice and chili powder and stir to combine.
- 4. Return the cobs to the pot and stir until they're coated with the mixture.
- 5. Transfer to a platter, sprinkle with the Parmesan, and serve.
