Air Fryer Carrots image

Tender spiced air fryer carrots with crispy edges is a simple side dish perfect for any meal made in just 20 minutes.

Number Of Ingredients 9

1 pound carrots, peeled and cut in half lengthwise
2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil (or avocado oil)
3/4 teaspoon Kosher salt
1/2 teaspoon cumin
1/2 teaspoon coriander
1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon ginger
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1/8 teaspoon allspice

Steps:

  • Preheat air fryer to 400°F.
  • Place the prepared carrots in a large bowl. Drizzle the oil over top and toss until all the pieces are well coated.
  • Combine spices in a small bowl, add to the bowl with the oil coated carrots and toss until well combined.
  • Place the seasoned carrots on the tray or in the basket of the air fryer depending on model.
  • Roast for 18-20 minutes, flipping carrots halfway through. Carrots should be tender with crispy edges when finished. Best served immediately.

Air-Fried Carrots with Tahini-Lemon Sauce image

A simple appetizer or side dish with Middle Eastern flair. The tahini-lemon sauce would be good with almost any vegetable! This recipe can easily be doubled, but you'll want to cook the carrots in 2 batches to avoid overcrowding the basket.

3 large carrots, peeled and cut into sticks
1 tablespoon grapeseed oil
¼ teaspoon ground cumin
¼ teaspoon ground coriander
1 pinch salt and ground black pepper to taste
1 ½ tablespoons plain yogurt
1 tablespoon tahini
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1 pinch garlic powder
1 pinch cayenne pepper
1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley
1 pinch Aleppo pepper

Steps:

  • Preheat the air fryer to 390 degrees F (200 degrees C).
  • Toss carrot sticks with oil, cumin, coriander, salt, and pepper in a large bowl. Transfer to the air fryer basket and set timer for 5 minutes. Shake the basket and continue cooking until carrots are tender and starting to brown, about 5 minutes more.
  • Meanwhile, whisk yogurt, tahini, lemon juice, garlic, and cayenne in a small bowl. Season with salt.
  • Plate carrots and drizzle the sauce on top. Garnish with parsley and aleppo flakes.

1 pound baby carrots
2 small onions, quartered
3 garlic cloves, peeled
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 teaspoon white wine vinegar
1 teaspoon dried thyme
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon pepper
Fresh thyme, optional

Steps:

  • Preheat air fryer to 375°. In a large bowl, toss first 8 ingredients. Place carrots on greased tray in air-fryer basket. Cook until carrots are crisp-tender, 18-20 minutes, stirring occasionally. If desired, sprinkle with fresh thyme.
