Updated to fix the undercooked crust issue that many people had! Step aside frozen pizza, there's a new guy in town. We're talking about the Air Fryer Pizza! Perfectly crispy, easy to make, personal pan pizzas that are about to revolutionize pizza night.

Buffalo mozzarella
Pizza dough (1 12-inch dough will make 2 personal sized pizzas)
Olive oil
Tomato sauce
Optional toppings to finish: fresh basil, parmesan cheese, pepper flakes

Steps:

  • Prep: Preheat air fryer to 375°F (190°C). Spray air fryer basket well with oil. Pat mozzarella dry with paper towels (to prevent a soggy pizza).
  • Cook Crust: Roll out pizza dough to the size of your air fryer basket. Carefully transfer it to the air fryer, then brush lightly with a teaspoon or so of olive oil. Cook for 3 minutes.
  • Assemble: To the precooked crust, spoon on a light layer of tomato sauce and sprinkle with chunks of buffalo mozzarella.
  • Bake: For about 7 minutes until crust is crispy and cheese has melted. Optionally top with basil, grated parmesan, and pepper flakes just before serving.

1 loaf (1 pound) frozen bread dough, thawed
1 cup pizza sauce
1/2 pound bulk Italian sausage, cooked and drained
1-1/3 cups shredded part-skim mozzarella cheese
1 small green pepper, sliced into rings
1 teaspoon dried oregano
Crushed red pepper flakes, optional

Steps:

  • On a lightly floured surface, roll and stretch dough into four 4-in. circles. Cover; let rest for 10 minutes. , Preheat air fryer to 400°. Roll and stretch each dough into a 6-in. circle. Place 1 crust in greased air fryer. Carefully spread with 1/4 cup pizza sauce, 1/3 cup sausage, 1/3 cup cheese, a fourth of the green pepper rings and a pinch of oregano. Cook until crust is golden brown, 6-8 minutes. If desired, sprinkle with red pepper flakes. Repeat with remaining ingredients.

1 loaf (1 pound) frozen pizza dough, thawed
20 slices pepperoni
8 ounces part-skim mozzarella cheese, cut into 20 cubes
1/4 cup butter
2 small garlic cloves, minced
Dash salt
Marinara sauce, warmed
Optional: Crushed red pepper flakes and grated Parmesan cheese

Steps:

  • Preheat air fryer to 350°. Shape dough into 1-1/2-in. balls; flatten into 1/8-in. thick circles. Place 1 pepperoni slice and 1 cheese cube in center of each circle; wrap dough around pepperoni and cheese. Pinch edges to seal; shape into a ball. Repeat with remaining dough, cheese and pepperoni. , In batches, place seam side up in a single layer in greased air fryer; cook until light golden brown, 6-8 minutes. Cool slightly., Meanwhile, in a small saucepan, melt butter over low heat. Add garlic and salt, taking care not to brown butter or garlic; brush over puffs. Serve with marinara sauce; if desired, sprinkle with red pepper flakes and Parmesan., Freeze option: Cover and freeze unbaked pizza puffs on waxed paper-lined baking sheets until firm. Transfer to a freezer container; seal and return to freezer. To use, preheat air fryer to 350°; bake pizza puffs on greased baking sheets as directed, increasing time as necessary until golden brown.
