Air Fryer Steak Tips image

You can cook the steak tips just by themselves, or add mushrooms, asparagus or what ever veggies you like. But if you want to serve with potatoes: cut potatoes into pieces about half the size of the steak bites for them to cook to the best texture. We prefer using pee-wee or baby gold potatoes and then cutting them in half or quarters. For a Keto version, you can cook the steak tips without potatoes or with other keto-friendly veggies.For the types of steak, use your favorite. Depending on the budget, we prefer ribeye, sirloin, tri-tip, and chuck shoulder steaks (aka London Broil steaks).

1/2 lb. potatoes (, cut into 1/2" pieces)
1 lb. steaks (, cut into 1/2" pieces & patted dry)
2 Tablespoons butter (, melted (or oil))
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
salt (, to taste)
Black pepper (, to taste)
Minced parsley (, garnish)
Melted butter for finishing (, optional)
Chili Flakes (, for finishing, optional)

Steps:

  • Heat a pot of water to a boil and then add the potatoes. Cook for about 5 minutes, or until nearly tender. Drain and set aside
  • Combine the steak tips and blanched potatoes. Toss together with the melted butter, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, salt and pepper.
  • Preheat the Air Fryer at 400°F for 4 minutes.
  • Spread the steak and potatoes in an even layer in the air fryer basket. Air fry at 400°F for 10-18 minutes, shaking and flipping and the steak and potatoes 2 times through cooking process (time depends on your preferred doneness, thickness of the steak, and size of air fryer).
  • Check the steak to see how well done it is cooked. If you want the steak more done, add an extra 2-5 minutes of cooking time.
  • If desired, garnish with parsley, optional melted butter drizzled on, and/or optional chili flakes. Season with additional salt & pepper if desired. Serve warm.

1/2 lb Strip Loin
4 small Potatoes ((chopped))
1 1/2 tbsp Olive oil
1 tsp Cayenne pepper
1 tsp Italian herbs
1 tsp Pepper ((ground))
1 tsp Salt

Steps:

  • In a medium bowl, add potatoes, olive oil, cayenne pepper, Italian herbs, and salt. Mix evenly.
  • Preheat air fryer to 360°F for 5 minutes
  • Place potatoes into the air fryer basket
  • Cook for 15 minutes. Toss the potatoes halfway through. Once cooked, set aside.
  • Rub oil, salt, and pepper on both sides of the steak.
  • Place the steak into the air fryer basket. Cook at 400°F for 7 to 13 minutes, depending on the preference of steak doneness.
  • Once done, let the steak rest for 10 mins. Serve the steak with roasted potatoes

2 teaspoons extra-virgin olive oil
2 teaspoons dry Italian-style salad dressing mix
salt and ground black pepper to taste

Steps:

  • Preheat the air fryer to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C).
  • Wash and dry potatoes. Trim edges to make a flat surface on both ends.
  • Combine extra-virgin olive oil and salad dressing mix in a large bowl. Add potatoes and toss until potatoes are well coated. Place in a single layer into the air fryer basket. Cook in batches if necessary.
  • Air fry until potatoes are golden brown, 5 to 7 minutes. Flip potatoes and air fry for an additional 2 to 3 minutes. Season with salt and pepper.
