VEGAN VANILLA BUTTERCREAM FROSTING

Light & fluffy vegan vanilla buttercream frosting that is so easy to make! Perfect for frosting cakes, cupcakes, and more. Gluten free, vegan, top 14 allergen free!

1 cup plant-based butter
3-4 cups powdered sugar
1 tbsp vanilla
1-3 tbsp milk of your choice (as needed )
pinch salt

Steps:

  • In a large mixing bowl with your hand mixer, or in your stand mixer with the whisk attachment, whisk the softened vegan butter on medium-high speed for 5 minutes. Whisk until light and fluffy.
  • Add the vanilla, salt, and powdered sugar. Start on low speed and slowly build up speed until all the sugar is incorporated into the butter. Again, whisk on high speed for 2 to 3 more minutes. Add plant based milk as needed to get the right consistency.

2 cups confectioners' sugar
6 tablespoons dairy-free margarine
¼ teaspoon water
1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Steps:

  • Beat confectioners' sugar and margarine together using an electric mixer on low speed. Add 1/4 teaspoon water to increase creaminess if needed. Add vanilla extract. Increase speed to high and continue to mix until frosting is stiff. Refrigerate until ready to use.

  • drain tofu for at least 2 hours.
  • discard liquid.
  • combine all ingredients in food processor until smooth.
  • use immediately.
