- In a large skillet, brown ground beef and onion until fully cooked. Place the beef and onion into your crockpot, and add all other ingredients except the pasta. Stir to combine. Cook on low for 6 to 8 hours or high for 4 hours. Add pasta 30 minutes before you want to eat. Serve topped with shredded cheese if desired, and enjoy!
AMERICAN CHOP SUEY
This is a quick recipe using 'canned' spaghetti. We always ate in on Friday nights before we would go to the football games. It is also excellent when served the next day, as the flavors have a chance to mix.

This is an old family recipe. My family loves it. It's quick and easy. Elbow macaroni and ground beef are combined in a tomatoey sauce. The kids will eat this one!

- Cook macaroni according to package directions.
- Meanwhile, in a separate large skillet over medium high heat, saute the ground beef and the onion for 5 to 10 minutes, or until meat is browned and crumbly. Drain thoroughly and leave the meat and onion in the skillet. Pour the two cans of tomato soup into the skillet and stir well to combine.
- When noodles are done, drain thoroughly and return noodles to the pot. Add the hamburger mixture from the skillet to the pot. Mix well and season with salt and pepper to taste.

Steps:
- 1. Heat the butter in a large pot over medium heat. Add the onion and bell pepper and cook, stirring occasionally, until soft, about 5 minutes. Add the garlic and cook, stirring, for about 1 minute. Then add the ground beef and continue to cook, stirring and breaking up the chunks of meat with a spoon. Cook until the meat is no longer pink, about 7 minutes. Sprinkle the herbs and pepper over the meat, add salt to taste, and mix in well.
- 2. Add the canned tomatoes with their juices, the tomato sauce, paste, and juice. Add sugar to taste. Simmer while you cook the pasta.
- 3. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil over high heat. Add the macaroni and cook, stirring occasionally, until al dente. Drain. Mix the macaroni into the chop suey. Serve hot.

Steps:
- Use a 6-quart slow cooker.
- In a large skillet, brown the beef, bacon and onion all together until the meat is no longer pink.
- Drain well and transfer to slow cooker.
- Add everything else into the pot except for pasta and cheese.
- Stir to combine.
- Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours.
- Stir in the raw pasta and cook on high for ~30 minutes, or until pasta is bite-tender. Season to taste with salt and pepper.
- Serve in a wide-mouthed bowl with a handful of cheese on each serving.
