AMISH APPLE BROWNIES



Amish Apple Brownies image

Good served warm with vanilla ice cream or frozen vanilla yogurt

Number Of Ingredients 11

1 c butter, softened
1 3/4 c sugar
2 eggs, beatened
1 tsp vanilla
2 c all purpose flour
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp salt
2 c baking apples, peeled and chopped
1/2 c pecans or walnuts, chopped

Steps:

  • 1. In an large mixing bowl, cream together butter, sugar, eggs & vanilla with elec. Mixer. Combine dry ingredients and stir into butter mixture. Fold in apples and nuts. Spread in a greased 9 x9 baking pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 45 mins. Or till done. Serves 12
  • 2. Vanilla Glaze - (opt.) ½ c. powered sugar, 1 Tbsp. hot water ¼ tsp. vanilla Combine and drizzle over brownies

Serve these apple bars warm with vanilla ice cream or just sprinkle with powdered sugar; either way they are yummy! Recipe found on the internet.

1 cup butter, softened
1 3/4 cups sugar
2 eggs, well beaten
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 cups flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 cups baking apples, peeled and chopped
1/2 cup walnuts

Steps:

  • Cream butter, sugar, eggs and vanilla with electric mixer.
  • Combine dry ingredients and add to butter mixture.
  • Mix until flour is moistened.
  • By hand, fold in apples and walnuts.
  • Spread in greased 9" square baking pan and bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes or until done.
  • Serve warm with vanilla ice cream.
