2 racks of baby-back pork ribs (baby back)
1 cup kc Masterpiece Original barbecue sauce
1/4 cup dark brown sugar
4 teaspoons garlic salt
4 teaspoons chili powder
2 teaspoons salt
1 teaspoon black pepper
1/2 teaspoon celery salt
1/4 teaspoon red pepper
1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon white pepper
1/2 cup apple cider
1/4 cup apple jelly
1/4 cup honey
1/4 cup brown sugar

Steps:

  • Remove membrane from the back of rib slabs. In a small bowl, combine dry rub ingredients and mix well. Reserve one tablespoon of the rub for the liquid seasoning mixture.
  • Generously apply dry rub onto front and back sides of ribs. Gently pat to ensure that rub will adhere.
  • Build a charcoal fire for indirect cooking by situating the coals on only one side of the grill, leaving the other side void. Add a small aluminum pan to the void side of the grill and fill it halfway with water.
  • When the charcoal grill reaches 250°F, place ribs meat-side up on grill grate and cook over indirect heat for 2 hours and 15 minutes.
  • Remove ribs from grill. Place each slab meat-side down on its own doubled aluminum foil square. The foil should be large enough to completely wrap each slab. Mix liquid seasoning in a small bowl. Pour 1/2 cup of the liquid over each slab.
  • Then, tightly wrap and seal each slab with aluminum foil. Place the wrapped ribs back in cooker for 1 hour at 250°F.
  • Remove ribs from grill, unwrap, and discard foil. Brush finishing glaze on both sides of ribs.
  • Place ribs back on the grill for 15 minutes, or until sauce caramelizes.

1 1/2 cups apple cider
dry rub seasonings or barbecue sauce, of your choice

Steps:

  • Place a 2 lb. rack of baby back ribs in a foil lined shallow pan.
  • Add 1 1/2 cups apple cider and cover lightly with foil.
  • Bake at 250° for 3 hours basting every 1/2 hour or so with the cider.
  • After 3 hours remove from oven and add rub or sauce to ribs.
  • Drain off some liquid if needed.
  • Return to oven and bake uncovered for 1 hour at 325°.

pepper, to taste

Steps:

  • Combine bbq sauce, brown sugar, cider vinegar, oregano, Worcestershire sauce, cayenne pepper, and chili powder in a small bowl.
  • Salt and pepper the ribs. Place ribs in slow cooker, and cover in sauce.
  • Cook low and slow for eight hours or high for four hours.
  • After the ribs are done, spoon the bbq sauce in the slow cooker over the ribs before removing.
  • Cut the ribs, serve with bbq sauce.
  • Enjoy!

2 teaspoons salt

2 racks baby back ribs, membranes removed
1 cup water
½ cup apple cider vinegar
1 (12 ounce) bottle barbeque sauce (such as Sweet Baby Ray's®)

Steps:

  • Mix brown sugar, chili powder, parsley, salt, garlic powder, black pepper, cumin, onion powder, and paprika in a bowl using a fork, breaking up any large clumps. Rub spice mixture over both sides of the ribs.
  • Place a steam rack inside a multi-functional pressure cooker (such as Instant Pot®). Pour water and cider vinegar into the bottom of the pot. Lower ribs into the pot by curving them around the edge. Close and lock the lid. Select high pressure according to manufacturer's instructions; set timer for 25 minutes. Allow 10 to 15 minutes for pressure to build.
  • Release pressure carefully using the quick-release method according to manufacturer's instructions, about 5 minutes. Unlock and remove lid.
  • Set oven rack about 6 inches from the heat source and preheat the oven's broiler. Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil; place ribs on the foil. Top with barbeque sauce.

2 tablespoons sea salt
1 ½ tablespoons ground New Mexico chile powder
1 tablespoon garlic powder

1 tablespoon ground black pepper
1 ½ teaspoons dried rosemary
1 ½ teaspoons dried thyme, or more to taste

Steps:

  • Mix white sugar, brown sugar, sea salt, chile powder, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, ancho chile powder, black pepper, rosemary, thyme, cumin, nutmeg, allspice, and cayenne pepper together in a bowl to make the rib rub.
  • Coat ribs evenly with rub. Cover with plastic wrap and let marinate in the refrigerator, 8 hours to overnight.
  • Preheat smoker to 300 degrees F (150 degrees C) per manufacturer's instructions. Place ribs on smoker meat-side up. Smoke until browned, about 1 1/2 hour. Remove from smoker.
  • Pour apple cider into an aluminum roasting pan. Position ribs in the pan, standing on end if needed. Cover with aluminum foil. Return to the smoker. Continue smoking ribs until tender, about 2 hours more.
  • Transfer ribs to a grill. Brush barbeque sauce on top. Grill until dark brown, about 10 minutes per side.
