Ham and Cheese Sliders image

Ham and cheese party sliders. Serve warm.

Provided by TheRealPaulGately

Categories     Main Dish Recipes     Pork     Ham

Time 44m

Yield 12

Number Of Ingredients 11

cooking spray
1 (12 count) package Hawaiian sweet rolls
1 (6 ounce) package thinly sliced deli ham
¾ pound shredded Swiss cheese
½ cup unsalted butter
1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
1 tablespoon poppy seeds
2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
2 teaspoons dried minced onion
¼ teaspoon salt, or to taste
¼ teaspoon ground black pepper, or to taste

Steps:

  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Line a 9-inch square baking pan with aluminum foil and spray with cooking spray.
  • Slice attached rolls in half widthwise with a serrated knife, keeping rolls connected, into a bottom and top 'slab.' Place bottom slab in the prepared pan.
  • Layer about half the ham evenly over the bottom slab of rolls. Layer Swiss cheese evenly on top, and arrange remaining ham over the cheese. Cover with the top slab.
  • Place butter in a microwave-safe bowl. Heat in the microwave until melted, about 1 minute. Add mustard, poppy seeds, Worcestershire sauce, onion, salt, and pepper. Whisk to combine.
  • Pour butter mixture evenly and slowly over the rolls. Spread over the tops using a spatula; some of the mixture will pool at the base of the rolls. Cover with aluminum foil and let stand at room temperature for 5 to 10 minutes.
  • Bake in the preheated oven until cheese has melted, about 20 minutes. Uncover and continue baking until browned as desired, 3 to 5 minutes more. Slice into individual sliders.

CHEESY ROAST BEEF SLIDERS

Cheesy Roast Beef Sliders image

Cheesy Roast Beef Sliders are the perfect recipe for a crowd. You can easily make a large batch of these sliders for a party or holiday potluck and bet that everyone will be thoroughly satisfied. Made with melted Brie, these sliders are as elegant as they are delicious. They are also super easy to make! All you need are a few ingredients and about a half hour from start to finish. If you're familiar with funeral sandwiches, this recipe is very similar. We've substituted roast beef in place of ham, and Brie in place of Swiss, but other than that, the basic recipe is the same. These sliders are the perfect thing to make for a potluck and are sure to delight!

  • Loaded Italian Sandwich. For a place that's all about the meat, cutting this meaty sandwich seems surprising. But according to Brand Eating, the chain is cutting several types of meat that go into this bad boy, making the item obsolete.
  • Pizza Slider. Out of seven delicious little sliders on the menu, Arby's has cut two. But the choice of the two to cut is baffling to some—especially when it comes to the pizza slider.
  • Ham Slider. Apparently, not only is the chain getting rid of this popular slider, but they're doing away with ham altogether. "Nooooo. The ham and pizza sliders were my favorite.
  • Loaded Curly Fries. Some customers may not have even known what they were missing—Arby's had Loaded Curly Fries this whole time. They were topped with bacon, sour cream, and cheddar, and will be missed by many.
  • Potato Cakes. For this one, the writing was on the wall when Arby's introduced crinkle-cut fries in March. For a second, we thought they may cut their signature Curly Fries, but instead, it was the Potato Cakes that got the boot.
  • Capri Sun Juice. The drink is being replaced by Honest Kids juices, according to Brand Eating. For more, check out the 108 Most Popular Sodas Ranked By How Toxic They Are.
