PORK CHOPS AND APPLES

Steps:
- Heat oven to 350°F. Place apples in 1 1/2-quart rectangular casserole. Sprinkle with brown sugar and cinnamon. Cover with foil; bake 15 minutes.
- Trim fat from edge of pork. Spray 8- or 10-inch nonstick skillet with cooking spray; heat over medium heat 1 to 2 minutes. Cook pork in hot skillet about 6 minutes, turning once, until light brown.
- Place pork in single layer on apples. Cover and bake 10 to 12 minutes or until pork is no longer pink when cut near the bone, meat thermometer reads 145°F and apples are tender.

GRAVY BAKED PORK CHOPS
These pork chops will melt in your mouth. They are very good and easy to assemble. They are first sauteed in butter, then baked in a creamy mushroom sauce.

Steps:
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
- Season pork chops with salt and pepper to taste. Melt the butter in a large skillet over medium high heat. Saute the pork chops in the butter for about 5 minutes per side.
- In a separate medium bowl, combine the milk, water and soup. Place the pork chops in a 9x13 inch baking dish and pour the soup mixture over the chops.
- Bake at 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) for 45 minutes.

- In a large skillet, saute celery and onion in butter until tender. Place in a large bowl. Stir in the remaining stuffing ingredients., Cut a pocket in each pork chop by slicing almost to the bone; fill with stuffing mixture. Secure with toothpicks. Sprinkle pork with salt and pepper., In a large skillet, brown chops in oil and butter on both sides. Transfer to a greased 13x9-in. baking dish. Add broth to the skillet, stirring to loosen browned bits from pan; stir in the apple, walnuts and syrup. Pour over pork chops., Cover and bake at 350° for 50-60 minutes or until a thermometer reads 160°. Discard toothpicks before serving.

PORK CHOPS AND APPLESAUCE GRAVY
I clipped this out of one of our local papers. It's alittle different way of preparing chops and quite YUMMY!!!

Steps:
- Heat oil in skillet and brown chops at least 2 minutes per side.
- You want a brown crust to form on the meat.
- Layer chops in a casserole dish, they can overlap.
- Now, add the flour, salt, pepper and garlic salt to the remaining fat in the pan.
- Stir to mix well.
- Add the boiling water and blend thoroughly.
- Cook 3 to 5 minutes until it thickens.
- Add applesauce and lemon juice, mix well and pour this entire mixture over the chops in the casserole.
- Bake 1 1/2 hrs at 400 degrees.
- Check for doneness, depending on the size of the chops you may need to cook an additional 15 minutes.
BAKED PORK CHOPS & APPLE GRAVY
This is a wonderful and very comforting entree with meat and fruit so you don't have to feel too guilty. I marinate the chops in teriyaki sauce, honey, guldens mustard, black pepper and garlic for at least 3 hours or overnight.

- Sprinkle pork chops with salt. In a large skillet, brown chops in oil; set aside. Place apples and raisins in a greased 13-in. x 9-in. baking dish. - Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Heat the vegetable oil in a large, ovenproof skillet over medium-high heat. Add the pork chops and sear until golden brown, about 1 1/2 minutes per side. Place the pork chops on a plate and set aside.
- Add the onion to the skillet and cook, stirring often, for 2 minutes. Add the sherry and the cider and cook, stirring contantly, scraping up any browned bits stuck to the bottom of the pan. Add the apples, 1/2 teaspoon salt and pepper to taste. Lower the heat and cook for 5 minutes.
- Push the pork chops down into the apple mixture and pour any juices accumulated on the plate over them. Cover with foil and bake until the pork chops are tender and cooked through, about 15 minutes. Uncover and season with additional salt and pepper to taste. Divide among 4 plates and serve.

- Mix apple cider, oil, Dijon mustard, vinegar, rosemary, paprika, salt, and pepper together in a bowl. Trim pork chops of fat and place into mixture. Refrigerate for 30 minutes.
- Remove pork chops from marinade; reserve marinade and set aside.
- Heat a nonstick pan over medium-high heat. Cook pork chops in the hot pan until browned, about 5 minutes per side.
- While the pork chops are cooking, marinate apple, bell peppers, and onion in the reserved marinade for 10 minutes.
- Add marinated apple to the pork chops; cook until brown, 3 to 5 minutes. Pour the rest of the marinade, peppers, and onion into the pan and let simmer, uncovered, for 20 minutes. Remove the pork chops, apples, and peppers from the pan and place in a serving dish.
- Mix flour and milk with the remaining liquid in the pan; simmer until thickened, 2 to 3 minutes. Pour the gravy on top of the pork chops.
