HONEY GARLIC BUTTER SALMON IN FOIL

Honey Garlic Butter Salmon In Foil image

Honey Garlic Butter Salmon In Foil in under 20 minutes, then broiled (or grilled) for that extra golden, crispy and caramelised finish! So simple and only 4 main ingredients, with minimal clean up!

Provided by Karina

Categories     Dinner

Time 25m

Number Of Ingredients 9

1/4 cup butter
1/3 cup honey
4 large cloves garlic (, crushed)
2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice ((juice of 1/2 a lemon))
1.2 kg | 2 1/2 pound side of salmon
Sea salt (, to taste)
Cracked pepper (, to taste (optional))
Lemon slices ((to serve))
2 tablespoons fresh chopped parsley

Steps:

  • Position a rack in the middle of the oven. Preheat oven to 375°F | 190°C. Line a baking tray / sheet with a large piece of foil, big enough to fold over and seal to create a packet (or 2 long pieces of foil over lapping each other lengthways to create your salmon packet, depending on the width of you fillet).
  • In a small saucepan, melt the butter over low-medium heat. Add the honey, garlic and lemon, and whisk until the honey has melted through the butter and the mixture is well combined.
  • Place the salmon onto lined baking tray | sheet. Pour the butter/honey mixture over the salmon, and using a pastry brush or spoon, spread evenly over the salmon. Sprinkle with a good amount of salt (about 2 teaspoons) and cracked pepper. Fold the sides of the foil over the salmon to cover and completely seal the packet closed so the butter does not leak.
  • Bake until cooked through (about 15-18 minutes, depending on the thickness of your fish and your preference of doneness). Open the foil, being careful of any escaping steam, and grill / broil under the grill / broiler for 2-3 minutes on medium heat to caramelise the top. Garnish with parsley and serve immediately with lemon slices.

HONEY SOY GLAZED SALMON RECIPE BY TASTY

Honey Soy Glazed Salmon Recipe by Tasty image

Two words: honey salmon! Sure, it takes a tiny bit of prep work, but once you marinate your salmon, you won't be able to go back. A simple mix of honey, soy sauce, garlic, and ginger coats and flavors your fish for 30 minutes before you throw it on the pan until the outside is perfectly crispy. Once that's done, you heat up and reduce some extra marinade to make a thick, to-die-for glaze to pour over your filet. Serve with your favorite veggies or rice and enjoy!

Provided by Robin Broadfoot

Categories     Dinner

Yield 2 servings

Number Of Ingredients 8

12 oz skinless salmon
1 tablespoon olive oil
4 cloves garlic, minced
2 teaspoons ginger, minced
½ teaspoon red pepper
1 tablespoon olive oil
⅓ cup less sodium soy sauce
⅓ cup honey

Steps:

  • Place salmon in a sealable bag or medium bowl.
  • In a small bowl or measuring cup, mix marinade ingredients.
  • Pour half of the marinade on the salmon. Save the other half for later.
  • Let the salmon marinate in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.
  • In a medium pan, heat oil. Add salmon to the pan, but discard the used marinade. Cook salmon on one side for about 2-3 minutes, then flip over and cook for an additional 1-2 minutes.
  • Remove salmon from pan. Pour in remaining marinade and reduce.
  • Serve the salmon with sauce and a side of veggies. We used broccoli.
  • Enjoy!

HONEY-GLAZED BAKED SALMON

Honey-Glazed Baked Salmon image

I got this recipe from a friend and, as a new cook, it is easy to make and delicious to boot! Even when I make this recipe with fewer pieces of salmon (2 small salmon filets), I still make the same amount of honey glaze, because it is so delicious and I prefer having more sauce rather than not enough.

BAKED SALMON WITH HONEY-GARLIC GLAZE

Baked Salmon with Honey-Garlic Glaze image

Preheat your oven for a quick and easy baked salmon recipe starring a sweet and tangy glaze made with honey, garlic and soy sauce.

Provided by Kelly Senyei

Time 40m

Number Of Ingredients 9

1/2 cup honey
1/3 cup low sodium soy sauce
3/4 cup pineapple juice
1 Tablespoon minced garlic
1 1/2 teaspoons minced fresh ginger
4 (6-oz.) salmon filets
1 teaspoon cornstarch
Chopped scallions, for garnish
Toasted sesame seeds, for garnish

Steps:

  • In a medium bowl or liquid measuring cup, whisk together the honey, soy sauce, pineapple juice, garlic and ginger. Place the salmon filets in a large sealable plastic bag then pour in half of the marinade and refrigerate the salmon for a minimum of 15 minutes and up to 6 hours. (Reserve the remaining half of the marinade.)
  • When you are ready to bake the salmon, preheat the oven to 350°F and line a baking sheet with foil. Remove the salmon from the fridge, lightly coat the foil with cooking spray and arrange each filet skin side down on the baking sheet. (Discard the marinade in the bag.) Bake the salmon for about 15 minutes or until it's cooked through. (The cooking time will vary based on the thickness of your salmon filets, but aim for an internal temperature of 145°F.)
  • While the salmon is baking, pour the reserved half of the marinade into a small saucepan set over medium-high heat. In a small bowl whisk together the cornstarch with 2 teaspoons water. Whisk the cornstarch mixture into the sauce, bring it to a boil, and continue cooking it until it reduces and is thick enough to coat the back of a spoon.
  • Remove the salmon from the oven, transfer each filet to a serving plate and top it with the glaze. Garnish the salmon with chopped scallions and sesame seeds and serve immediately.

HONEY GARLIC SALMON

Honey Garlic Salmon image

This glazed honey garlic salmon recipe has a perfect pan fried crust, then is baked to tender perfection. Quick, easy, and tastes impressive!

Provided by Erin Clarke / Well Plated

Categories     Dinner

Time 20m

Number Of Ingredients 12

4 (6-ounce) skin-on salmon fillets
1/4 cup honey
3 tablespoons hot water
3 tablespoons freshly squeezed lemon juice
6 cloves minced garlic (about 2 tablespoons)
1 1/4 teaspoons smoked paprika
3/4 to 1 teaspoon kosher salt (divided)
1/8 teaspoon cayenne pepper
2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
Chopped fresh parsley or green onion (for serving)
Lemon wedges (optional, for serving)

Steps:

  • Place a rack in the center of your oven and preheat the oven to 450 degrees F.
  • Let the salmon rest at room temperature for 10 minutes. With paper towels, pat it dry on both sides.
  • In a small mixing bowl or liquid measuring cup, whisk together the honey, hot water, lemon juice, garlic, smoked paprika, ¼ teaspoon salt, and cayenne pepper. Keep near the stove.
  • Heat an ovenproof skillet (cast iron is ideal) just large enough to hold the salmon comfortably over medium high-you don't want the salmon to overlap, but you also don't want there to be too much extra room around the salmon or the sauce may burn.
  • Sprinkle the salmon with ½ teaspoon salt and 1/4 teaspoon black pepper (wait to season the fish until just before adding it to the pan).
  • Once the skillet is hot, add the olive oil. Swirl to coat the pan, then add the salmon, skin-side up/flesh side down. When lowering the fish into the pan, move it in a direction away from you so that you aren't splattered with oil. Sprinkle the skin side of the fish with a generous pinch of additional salt.
  • Cook the salmon for 4 minutes without disturbing it, until it is browned and releases easily from the pan. With a thin spatula (a fish spatula is perfect), carefully turn over each fillet. Turn off the heat.
  • Pour the honey mixture over the salmon fillets. With a spoon, baste the top of the fish with the sauce for 1 minute.
  • Transfer the skillet to the oven. Bake until the salmon flakes easily with a fork, about 4 to 5 more minutes for 1-inch fillets; if your salmon is thicker or thinner, you will need to adjust the cooking time accordingly. Salmon is done when it reaches 145 degrees F on an instant read thermometer and flakes easily with a fork. Do not overcook or the salmon will be dry (once I get close to 145 degrees F, I remove the salmon to a plate then cover it and let it rest a few minutes so the carryover cooking finishes the job).
  • Sprinkle the salmon with parsley or green onion and squeeze additional lemon over the top if you like. Enjoy hot with more pan sauce spooned over the top.
