1 container (8 oz.) BREAKSTONE'S or KNUDSEN Sour Cream
1 pkg. (3.9 oz.) JELL-O Chocolate Flavor Instant Pudding
1/2 cup oil
1/2 cup water
1/2 cup MAXWELL HOUSE INTERNATIONAL, any café flavor
2 pkg. (4 oz. each) BAKER'S Semi-Sweet Chocolate, chopped
2 Tbsp. powdered sugar

Steps:

  • Heat oven to 350°F.
  • Beat all ingredients except coffee granules, chopped chocolate and sugar in large bowl with mixer until blended. Stir in coffee and chopped chocolate.
  • Pour into greased and floured 12-cup fluted tube pan or 10-inch tube pan.
  • Bake 50 min. to 1 hour or until toothpick inserted near center comes out clean. Cool cake in pan 10 min. Loosen cake from sides of pan with knife. Invert cake onto wire rack; gently remove pan. Cool cake completely. Sprinkle with sugar just before serving.

2 tablespoons powdered sugar

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Lightly grease 12-cup fluted tube pan or 10-inch tube pan; set aside.
  • Beat all ingredients except chopped chocolate in large bowl with electric mixer on low speed just until moistened, stopping frequently to scrape side of bowl. Beat on medium speed 2 min. or until well blended. Stir in chopped chocolate. Spoon into prepared pan.

3/4 cup (1-1/2 sticks) butter or margarine
1-1/2 cups sugar
3 eggs
2 tsp. vanilla
2-1/2 cups flour, divided
1 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. salt
1-1/2 cups water

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350°F. Microwave chocolate and butter in large microwaveable bowl on HIGH 2 min. or until butter is melted. Stir until chocolate is completely melted. Stir in sugar. Add eggs, 1 at a time, beating with electric mixer on low speed after each addition until well blended. Add vanilla; mix well.
  • Add 1/2 cup of the flour, the baking soda and salt; beat until well blended. Add remaining 2 cups flour alternately with water, beating until well blended after each addition. Pour evenly into 2 greased and floured 9-inch round cake pans.
  • Bake 35 min. or until toothpick inserted in centers comes out clean. Cool in pans 10 min.; remove from pans. Cool completely on wire racks. Spread with your favorite frosting, if desired. (NOTE: Nutrition information is for unfrosted cake.)

2 cups sugar
1-3/4 cups all-purpose flour
3/4 cup baking cocoa
2 teaspoons baking soda
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
2 large eggs, room temperature
1 cup strong brewed coffee
1 cup buttermilk
1/2 cup canola oil
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 tablespoon confectioners' sugar

Steps:

  • In a large bowl, combine the first 6 ingredients. Add the eggs, coffee, buttermilk, oil and vanilla; beat on medium speed for 2 minutes (batter will be thin). Pour into a greased and floured 10-in. fluted tube pan., Bake at 350° for 45-50 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Cool for 10 minutes before removing from pan to a wire rack to cool completely. Dust with confectioners' sugar.
