2 tablespoons butter, softened
1 cup sugar
1 egg
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
1/2 cup old-fashioned oats
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 cup milk
1 cup sweetened shredded coconut
3 to 4 small firm bananas, sliced
1 tablespoon pineapple juice
1 carton (12 ounces) frozen whipped topping, thawed

Steps:

  • In a large bowl, cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in egg and vanilla. Combine the flour, oats and baking powder; add to creamed mixture alternately with milk, beating well after each addition (mixture will appear curdled). Stir in coconut., Spread in a well-greased 13-in. x 9-in. baking pan. Bake at 325° for 25-30 minutes or until edges are golden brown. Cool completely; crumble. Set aside 1/4 cup for topping., Just before serving, toss bananas with pineapple juice. In a 2-1/2-qt. serving bowl, layer a third of the macaroon crumbs, whipped topping and bananas. Repeat layers twice. Sprinkle with reserved crumbs.

2 cans (14 ounces each) sweetened condensed milk, divided
1-1/2 cups Kahlua (coffee liqueur), chilled
2-1/2 cups cold 2% milk, divided
2 packages (3.9 ounces each) instant chocolate pudding mix
3 cartons (8 ounces each) frozen whipped topping, thawed, divided
9 whole chocolate graham crackers, coarsely crushed
2 packages (3.4 ounces each) instant banana cream pudding mix
1-1/2 cups coarsely crushed vanilla wafers (about 45 wafers)
5 medium bananas, sliced
Additional wafers, crushed chocolate graham crackers and sliced bananas

Steps:

  • In a large bowl, beat 1 package cream cheese and 1 can condensed milk until blended. Beat in Kahlua, 1/2 cup milk and chocolate pudding mixes until thickened, about 2 minutes. Fold in 1 carton whipped topping, then chocolate graham crackers. Set aside., In another large bowl, beat remaining cream cheese and condensed milk until blended. Beat in the remaining 2 cups milk and the banana pudding mixes until thickened, about 2 minutes. Fold in 1 carton whipped topping, vanilla wafers and bananas., Spread chocolate pudding mixture in the bottom of a 6- or 7-qt. trifle bowl or glass bowl. Layer with 1-1/2 cups whipped topping and banana pudding mixture; top with remaining 1-1/2 cups whipped topping. Cover and refrigerate overnight., Garnish with additional wafers, crushed chocolate graham crackers and sliced bananas before serving.

1 quart cold milk
2 bananas, chopped
4 cups heavy cream
4 teaspoons vanilla extract
1 cup confectioners' sugar
1 (12 ounce) package prepared pound cake, cubed
½ (12 ounce) box vanilla wafers (such as Nilla®), crushed

Steps:

  • Whisk pudding mix with milk until smooth. Stir in chopped bananas; set aside.
  • In a large bowl, whip cream until stiff peaks are just about to form. Beat in vanilla and sugar until peaks form. Make sure not to over-beat, or cream will become lumpy and butter-like.
  • Layer half the pound cake cubes, half the pudding, half the whipped cream, and half the crushed vanilla wafers in a trifle bowl. Repeat with the remaining cake, pudding, and whipped cream, and top with the remaining crushed wafers. Chill in the refrigerator until ready to serve.

Very sweet and chewy. I got this recipe from the recent March/April 2002 "Taste of Home Quick Cooking" magazine. I made it for Easter dessert. I did double the batch and it filled my trifle bowl to the top.

2 tablespoons butter or 2 tablespoons margarine, softened
1 cup sugar
1 egg
1 cup flaked coconut
1/2 cup old fashioned oats
2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 cup milk
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
3 -4 small firm bananas, sliced
1 tablespoon pineapple juice
1 (12 ounce) carton frozen whipped topping, thawed

Steps:

  • *Ifyou have no time to bake macaroon mixture, use store bought macaroons instead and crush.
  • For macaroon mixture, beat butter and sugar in a mixing bowl until well blended.
  • Add egg, mix well.
  • Combine the coconut, oats, flour and baking powder in another bowl.
  • Combine milk and vanilla in another bowl.
  • Now, alternate combining the coconut mix and milk/vanilla mixes with the sugar mix.
  • (The mixture will appear curdled) Spread into a well greased 13x9 dish.
  • Bake at 325 for 25 to 30 minutes or until edges are golden brown.
  • Cool completely and crumble.
  • Set aside 1/4 cup for topping.
  • Just before serving toss bananas with pineapple juice.
  • In a 2 1/2 quart bowl, layer 1/3 macaroon crumbs, whipped topping and bananas.
  • Repeat layers twice.
  • Sprinkle with reserved crumbs.
  • Refrigerate or serve immediately.

8 ounces frozen whipped topping ((Cool Whip), thawed and divided)
8 bananas (sliced)
12 ounces vanilla wafers cookies

Steps:

  • In a large bowl, beat cream cheese until fluffy. Add in condensed milk , dry pudding mix, cold milk, and vanilla and mix until completely combined and smooth.
  • Fold in half of the Cool Whip.
  • Line the bottom of a trifle bowl with vanilla wafers.
  • Top wafers with a layer of sliced bananas.
  • Spread half of pudding mixture on top of bananas.
