Easy Baked Spaghetti image

This is not something that you see everyday, but you'll wish you did! It's so easy to make and perfect for pot luck dinners. I listed this with the cheese that I like, but you can substitute whatever you like. Also, feel free to add veggies to the sauce. Enjoy!

1 lb spaghetti
16 ounces pasta sauce
8 ounces shredded mozzarella cheese
8 ounces shredded monetary monterey jack cheese
1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  • Cook spaghetti in a large pot with plenty of water, until ALMOST done and drain.
  • Coat the bottom of a 9 X 13 pan (or two 8 inch pans.) with pasta sauce.
  • Layer the spaghetti, remaining sauce, and the shredded cheese in the pan.
  • Bake for 10 minutes or until cheese is melted and lightly browned.
  • Sprinkle with parmesan.
  • Allow to cool slightly before serving.

Make this tasty dish ahead of time, and cook it when needed. Allow a little extra cooking time if you make this ahead and refrigerate.

12 ounces spaghetti
1 cup chopped onions
1 cup chopped green bell peppers
1 pound lean ground beef
1 (16 ounce) can diced tomatoes
1 (4.5 ounce) can mushrooms, drained
1 teaspoon dried oregano
2 cups shredded mild Cheddar cheese
1 (10.75 ounce) can condensed cream of mushroom soup
¼ cup water
¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese

Steps:

  • Bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a boil. Add spaghetti, and cook for 8 to 10 minutes, or until al dente. Drain, and set aside.
  • In a large skillet over medium-high heat, saute the onions, green peppers and ground beef. Once beef is brown and onions and peppers softened, add the tomatoes, mushrooms and oregano. Simmer uncovered for 10 minutes.
  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease a 9x13 inch baking dish. Place half of the cooked spaghetti into the prepared dish. Top with half of the meat mixture. Sprinkle with 1 cup of the mild Cheddar cheese. Repeat. In a medium bowl, mix together cream of mushroom soup and water until smooth; pour over casserole. Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese.
  • Bake in preheated oven for 30 to 35 minutes. Let stand 10 minutes before serving.

Spaghetti squash is easily prepared in the oven--just cut it in half and bake it until the skin is easily pierced with a fork. You can then use it as a low-carb pasta substitute or turn it into salads. I often just eat it simply with some Parmesan cheese and olive oil. If you want you can season it before you bake it, but I usually spice it up later.

1 spaghetti squash, halved and seeded

Steps:

  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Lightly grease a baking sheet with olive oil.
  • Place spaghetti squash, cut-side down, on the baking sheet.
  • Bake in the preheated oven until skin can easily be pierced with a fork and spaghetti squash is tender, 40 to 60 minutes, depending on size of spaghetti squash.
  • Remove from oven and allow to rest until cool enough to handle. Scrape out flesh with a fork and discard skins.

1 pound ground beef
1 medium onion, chopped
1 jar (24 ounces) pasta sauce
1/2 teaspoon seasoned salt
2 large eggs
1/3 cup grated Parmesan cheese
5 tablespoons butter, melted
2 cups 4% cottage cheese
4 cups shredded part-skim mozzarella cheese
Chopped fresh basil, optional

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350°. Cook spaghetti according to package directions for al dente. Meanwhile, in a large skillet, cook beef and onion over medium heat until beef is no longer pink and onion is tender, 6-8 minutes, breaking up beef into crumbles; drain. Stir in pasta sauce and seasoned salt; set aside., In a large bowl, whisk the eggs, Parmesan cheese and butter. Drain spaghetti; add to egg mixture and toss to coat., Place half of the spaghetti mixture in a greased 13x9-in. or 3-qt. baking dish. Top with half of the cottage cheese, meat sauce and mozzarella cheese. Repeat layers. Place baking dish on a rimmed baking sheet., Cover and bake for 40 minutes. 8 ounces uncooked spaghetti, broken into thirds
1 large egg
1/2 cup whole milk
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 pound ground beef
1/2 pound bulk Italian sausage
1 small onion, chopped
1/4 cup chopped green pepper
1 jar (14 ounces) meatless spaghetti sauce
1 can (8 ounces) tomato sauce
1 to 2 cups shredded part-skim mozzarella cheese

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350°. Cook spaghetti according to package directions. , Meanwhile, in a large bowl, beat egg, milk and salt. Drain spaghetti; add to egg mixture and toss to coat. Transfer to a greased 13x9-in. baking dish., In a large skillet, cook beef, sausage, onion and green pepper over medium heat until meat is no longer pink; drain.
