Ingredients

1 package (1/4 ounce) active dry yeast
1/4 cup warm water (110° to 115°)
1 teaspoon beef bouillon granules
2 tablespoons boiling water
2-1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1 cup nonfat dry milk powder
1 cup whole wheat flour
1 cup cooked long grain rice
1 envelope unflavored gelatin
1 jar (4 ounces) vegetable beef dinner baby food
1 large egg
2 tablespoons vegetable oil

Steps:

Preheat oven to 325°. In a small bowl, dissolve yeast in warm water. In another small bowl, dissolve bouillon in boiling water. In a large bowl, combine all-purpose flour, milk powder, wheat flour, rice and gelatin. Stir in baby food, egg, oil, yeast mixture and bouillon mixture until combined. , On a lightly floured surface, knead 8-10 times until mixture forms a ball. Roll to 1/4-in. thickness. Cut with a floured 2-in. bone-shaped cookie cutter. Place 1 in. apart on ungreased baking sheets., Bake until set, 18-25 minutes. Remove to wire racks to cool. Let stand 24 hours or until hardened. Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator.

Ingredients

1 cup rolled oats
1 tablespoon white sugar
1 teaspoon brown sugar
1 cube beef bouillon, crumbled
1 tablespoon poultry seasoning
1 tablespoon mild paprika
¾ cup cornmeal
2 ½ cups all-purpose flour
1 cup boiling water
⅓ cup butter, softened
½ cup milk
1 egg

Steps:

Preheat the oven to 325 degrees F (165 degrees C). Grease cookie sheets.
In a large bowl, stir together the oats, white sugar, brown sugar, beef bouillon, poultry seasoning, paprika, cornmeal and flour. In a separate bowl, stir together the butter and hot water until butter melts, then stir in the milk and egg. Make a well in the center of the dry ingredients, and pour in the wet ingredients. Mix until well blended. The dough will be stiff. If it is too stiff, add a bit more water. If it is too sticky, add more flour.
On a lightly floured surface, knead the dough for a few turns. Roll out to 1/4 to 1/2 inch thickness, and cut into squares or into desired shapes using cookie cutters. Place treats about 1 inch apart on the prepared cookie sheets.
Bake for 30 to 35 minutes in the preheated oven, until lightly browned and firm. Let cool for 10 or 15 minutes. When completely cool, store in an airtight container at room temperature.

Make sure to use a natural peanut butter that does not contain added salt, sugar, or other ingredients. Keep extra treats stored in the fridge.

Ingredients

1 ¼ cups grated carrots
1 ¼ cups quick-cooking oats
1 cup grated apple
½ cup natural peanut butter
2 eggs

Steps:

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Line 2 baking sheets with parchment paper.
Mix carrots, oats, and apple together in a large bowl. Whisk peanut butter and eggs until thoroughly combined in a second bowl. Pour into the oat mixture and stir until thoroughly combined.
Drop 1 1/2 tablespoonfuls of batter onto the prepared baking sheets. Flatten each treat with your hands until they are 1/2-inch thick.
Bake in the preheated oven until treats are firm to the touch and begin to brown on the bottom, 15 to 20 minutes. Allow to cool a few minutes on the baking sheets before removing to a wire rack to cool completely.

2 cups cornmeal
5 cups whole wheat flour
3 tablespoons beef flavoring or 3 tablespoons beef bouillon
1/4 cup garlic, minced
1/4 cup oil
1 egg
2 1/2 cups water

Steps:

Combine all ingredients.
Roll mixture out to 1/4 inch thick; cut out treats with the cutter of your choice.
Bake treats at 250 degrees F for 15 minutes, then increase the temperature to 325 degrees F and bake 30 minutes more.
