The BEST detox beet juice recipe! This healthy and easy homemade beet juice is made quickly with ingredients that detox for a body cleanse, to help with weight loss, improve skin, lower blood pressure and increase energy!

1 raw beet (large, ends sliced off, peeled and cut into chunks)
1 gala or honeycrisp apple
2 carrots (large, ends sliced off, peeled and cut into chunks)
1 lemon (skin and rind sliced off)
1 inch fresh ginger (peeled)
1 tablespoon fresh parsley
1 cup coconut water

Steps:

  • Add all the ingredients to a blender. Blend until smooth on high.
  • Using a large bowl, place a mesh bag or nut bag over top. Prepare your hands for the strong color by placing them in a zip-lock back so they do not turn red or use plastic gloves.
  • Pour in the detox beet juice over the mesh bag. Using your hands (in the gloves or bags), squeeze the juice out making sure to remove all of the liquid into the bowl and fibers in the mesh bag. Transfer the fresh juice to a glass using a funnel and serve over ice or chilled.
  • If using a juicer, you can can skip the coconut water as an option. It is used in the blender to help it mix and add nutrients. Add the remaining ingredients to a juicer. Enjoy over ice or chilled.

This Beet Smoothie is a delicious way to sneak more veggies into your day!

1/2 cup fresh beet (, chopped (I don't peel it))
1/2 -inch piece fresh ginger ((peeled, see note))
1/2 cup orange juice
1/2 cup water
1 frozen banana (, cut into pieces)
1 cup frozen strawberries

Steps:

  • Combine the beets, ginger, orange juice, and water in a blender and blend until very smooth, with no visible pieces of beet or ginger remaining. Add in the frozen strawberries and banana, and blend until smooth. Serve right away
  • If you're using a high-speed blender, like the Vitamix, you can just add everything to the blender and blend it all together. It should break it down into a slushy texture effortlessly.
  • This smoothie has the best taste and texture when you serve it right away, but you can save leftovers in the fridge for up to 24 hours. (I also like to freeze leftover smoothie in popsicle molds for a cool treat later!)

2 Carrots
Half Cucumber
Small Lemon (juice)
1 small Fresh ginger (about a centimeter)
Half glass water
Some Ice cubes

Steps:

  • Peel, wash and cut the beetroot and its tops, do the same with the half-cucumber.
  • Peel the carrots, wash them and cut them into pieces.
  • Peel the piece of fresh ginger and cut it finely.
  • Extract the lemon juice.
  • Put all the ingredients in a blender or centrifuge and start the appliance.
  • Add a little water if the consistency seems too thick.
  • Add a few ice cubes before serving.

1/2 cup unsweetened almond milk or milk of choice
1 cup mixed frozen blueberries or mixed berries
1 small beet (peeled and diced (about 8 ounces))
1/4 cup frozen pineapple
1/4 cup plain nonfat Greek yogurt (use non-dairy yogurt to make vegan)
Optional sweetener: 1-2 teaspoons honey (plus additional to taste (use agave to make vegan))
Optional mix-ins: chia seeds

Steps:

  • Place the almond milk, blueberries, beet, pineapple, and Greek yogurt in a high speed blender such as a Vitamix (if you do not have a high speed blender, I'd suggest microwaving, roasting, or lightly steaming the beets before using so that they are softer and puree more smoothly).
  • Blend until smooth. Taste and if you desire a sweeter smoothie, add a little honey or date and blend again. Enjoy immediately or refrigerate for up to 1 day.

3/4 cup of unsweetened almond milk
1 small-sized beetroot* (cooked or fresh)
3/4 cup pineapple
1/2 banana (, frozen)
1 cup strawberries (, frozen)
1 tbsp of organic coconut oil
1 cup ice ((less if using all frozen fruit))

Steps:

  • If using fresh beetroot: Use a grater to remove the skin of the beetroot, cut into small cubes and add to the blender.
  • *Be sure to wear gloves and avoid staining your fingers.*
  • Add the rest of the ingredients to the jar in the order listed and secure lid. Blend until smooth.
  • For Blendtec: Press the SMOOTHIE Button
  • For Vitamix: Select VARIABLE speed 1, turn machine on and quickly increase to Variable speed 10/HIGH. Run for 45 seconds or until smooth OR use the SMOOTHIE setting.
  • Serve immediately and enjoy!

  • Soak the pitted dates for 30 minutes in boiled water. This step simply softens the dates and helps the blender blend them smooth. If you have a Vitamix, you can skip this soaking step as the machine is powerful enough on its own to blend the dates smooth.
  • Place all ingredients in a high speed blender in the order they appear in the ingredient list (dates go in first and milk goes in last). Blend gradually from low to high speed until smooth and creamy. You may need to use your tamper to get things started. If your blender cannot hold all the ingredients leave out the frozen strawberries initially. Blend everything else together well and then add the frozen strawberries and blend again until smooth and creamy.
