1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
½ cup sour cream
½ cup mayonnaise
¼ cup cocktail sauce
1 cup mild salsa
¾ cup diced green onion
¾ cup diced red bell pepper
¾ cup diced green bell pepper
2 cups shredded Cheddar cheese
2 cups shredded lettuce
1 cucumber, thinly sliced

Steps:

In a blender or food processor, thoroughly mix cream cheese, sour cream and mayonnaise. Spread the mixture evenly in the bottom of a medium serving dish.
In individual layers, top the mixture with cocktail sauce, mild salsa, diced green onion, red bell pepper, green bell pepper, shredded Cheddar cheese and shredded lettuce.
Arrange cucumber slices around the edge of the serving dish. Chill in the refrigerator at least 2 hours before serving.

1 (16 ounce) package bulk hot pork sausage (such as Jimmy Dean®)
1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
1 (10 ounce) can diced tomatoes with green chile peppers (such as RO*TEL®)
1 cup chopped fresh chives
¼ cup chopped onion

Steps:

Stir the sausage and onions together in a large skillet over medium-high heat until browned and crumbly, about 8 minutes. Drain the grease off of the sausage in a mesh strainer, then return to the skillet. Stir in the cream cheese and diced tomatoes until the cheese has melted and the mixture begins to bubble. Stir in chives before serving.

This is my version of a family recipe. You can't go wrong when you serve these beans at a potluck, barbecue, family gathering etc. These are a great accompaniment to burgers and hot dogs. My family even loves these during the holidays with spiral ham and potato salad and or macaroni salad. The secret to this recipe is following the directions and using brand names mentioned. All who try these beans rave about them and typically ask for the recipe.

Ingredients

2 pounds thick-cut bacon, cut into 1/2-inch pieces
¼ cup water
3 bunches green onions, diced
1 (16 ounce) package golden brown sugar
1 (12 ounce) bottle tomato-based chili sauce (such as Heinz®)
3 (15 ounce) cans pork and beans in tomato sauce (such as VanCamp's®)
3 (15 ounce) cans kidney beans, drained
3 (15 ounce) cans lima beans, drained

Steps:

Place bacon in a Dutch oven over medium-high heat. Saute, turning occasionally, until slightly crispy, 5 to 6 minutes. Drain bacon slices on paper towels; reserve 3 tablespoons bacon grease and discard the rest.
Add a 1/4 cup of water to the pan and bring to a boil, scraping up all browned bits until water has evaporated. Add the reserved bacon grease, along with the green onions. Saute until softened, 3 to 4 minutes. Stir in brown sugar, about 1/4 cup at a time, cooking until sugar begins to brown, about 5 minutes.
Stir chili sauce into the pot and cook for 2 to 3 minutes. Pour in pork and beans, kidney beans, and lima beans; stir until beans are well coated in the sauce.
Return bacon to the pot and stir well to combine. Cover and reduce heat to low. Simmer, stirring occasionally to prevent burning, until flavors combine, 1 1/2 to 2 hours.

If we are planning on getting together someone always will the favored appetizer along with a big bowl of chips and a platter of fresh cut vegetables for dipping. I believe that through several generations of my family's honest group clam dip critiques this recipe has reached a level of perfection that no other clam dip around can boast.

2 garlic cloves
1 teaspoon dill

1/2 teaspoon hot sauce
1 teaspoon fresh cracked pepper

Steps:
