BEST HOMEMADE ZAXBY'S CHICKEN FINGERS

- Cut the chicken breast into half-inch pieces
- Preheat the oven to 400 F
- Place buttermilk and chicken into a dish, cover it and chill it in the refrigerator for 15 minutes.
- Spray a baking sheet with non-stick cooking spray
- In a separate bowl, mix bread crumbs, salt, cornflakes, and pepper and set the mixture aside.
- Beat eggs in a separate bowl
- Place the flour on a plate.
- Take the chicken pieces and cover them with the flour
- Deep the chicken fingers in the egg and cover them with cornflakes and bread crumbs mixture.
- Arrange the chicken fingers on a baking tray
- Bake for about 8 minutes. Let it cool for a crispier exterior.

This sauce is really good with chicken and a great alternative to the traditional BBQ sauce. I like the full teaspoon of black pepper. This is also great on a chicken sandwich.

Steps:
- Whisk mayonnaise, ketchup, and garlic powder together in a bowl; add Worcestershire sauce to the mayonnaise mixture and whisk until smooth.
- Sprinkle enough black pepper over the surface of the mayonnaise mixture to cover; stir to incorporate. Repeat sprinkling and stirring of black pepper.
- Cover bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate until the seasonings have blended into the sauce, at least 2 hours.

- 1.Cut chicken breasts across into half-inch pieces.
- 2.Place the chicken and buttermilk into a shallow dish and cover.
- 3.Chill the chicken for at least fifteen minutes.
- 4.Pour the oil into a deep frying pan and heat to 375 degrees.
- 5.Combine the bread crumbs, cornflakes, salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning in a shallow bowl.
- 6.Beat the egg in another shallow bowl.
- 7.Place the flour in a shallow plate.
- 8.Cover the chicken fingers in flour, then dip in the egg, and finally cover them with the cornflake and bread crumb mixture.
- 9.Place the coated chicken in the hot oil and fry for 6 to 8 minutes. Drain the Chicken Fingerz on a paper towel-lined plate.
- 10.Cool slightly to create a crispier coating.
