This creamy chicken dish, which uses convenient frozen hash browns, pairs tangy mustard with a hint of honey. "Even my little sister, who is a picky eater, comes back for seconds," reports Katie Shea of Brigham City, Utah.

2 cans (10-3/4 ounces each) condensed cream of chicken soup, undiluted
3/4 cup mayonnaise
1/2 cup milk
3 tablespoons honey
2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
4 cups cubed fully cooked ham or cubed cooked chicken
1 package (26 ounces) frozen shredded hash brown potatoes
3 cups frozen sliced carrots, optional

Steps:

  • In a large bowl, combine the first five ingredients. Stir in the ham, hash browns and carrots if desired. Transfer to a greased 13-in. x 9-in. baking dish. , Cover and bake at 350° for 45-50 minutes. Uncover; bake 15-20 minutes longer or until bubbly.

1 lb lean (at least 80%) ground beef
1 can (16 oz) baked beans
1/2 cup barbecue sauce
2 cups Original Bisquick™ mix
2/3 cup milk
1 tablespoon butter or margarine, softened
1/2 cup shredded Cheddar cheese (2 oz)

Steps:

  • Heat oven to 425°F. In 10-inch skillet, cook beef over medium-high heat 5 to 7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until thoroughly cooked; drain.
  • Stir baked beans and barbecue sauce into beef. Heat to boiling, stirring occasionally. Pour into ungreased 2-quart casserole.
  • Meanwhile, in medium bowl, stir Bisquick mix, milk and butter until soft dough forms.
  • Drop dough by 12 spoonfuls onto beef mixture.
  • Bake uncovered 18 to 22 minutes or until topping is golden brown. Sprinkle with cheese. Bake about 3 minutes longer or until cheese is melted.

My sister and I used to request this recipe often. Mom never seemed to make it often enough... we loved it! I'm not sure where my Mom got the recipe, but I think Betty Mayfield was a past Miss America? Not sure!

1 lb ground beef
2 teaspoons salt
2 teaspoons sugar
1 (16 ounce) can tomatoes, diced
1 (8 ounce) can tomato sauce
2 cloves garlic, pressed
pepper, to taste
1 (6 ounce) package egg noodles, cooked and drained
1 cup sour cream
1 (3 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
6 green onions, chopped
1/4 cup American cheese, grated

Steps:

  • Brown ground beef; drain.
  • Add salt, sugar, tomatoes, tomato sauce, garlic and pepper.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine cooked egg noodles with sour cream, cream cheese and green onions.
  • In a greased 3-quart casserole dish, arrange meat mixture and noodle mixture in alternate layers.
  • Top with cheese.
  • Cover and bake at 350F for 35 minutes.
  • I serve this casserole with a fresh salad and hot garlic bread!

4 slices bacon, fried crisp
6 hard-boiled eggs
4 potatoes, boiled
1 (11 ounce) can cream of chicken soup
1/2 cup milk
salt and pepper
1 cup sharp cheddar cheese, grated
1 tablespoon dried onion flakes (optional)

Steps:

  • Peel and slice potatoes and eggs. Crumble bacon. Arrange these 3 ingredients in layers in a buttered casserole dish.
  • Mix soup, milk, onion flakes and salt and pepper. Warm in saucepan and pour over layers in casserole dish. Sprinkle with cheese.
  • Bake and 350 degrees for 20-25 minutes.

1 pound lean ground beef
1 medium onion, diced
1 medium green bell pepper, diced
1 teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon black pepper
1 (8 ounce) package uncooked egg noodles
1 (14.5 ounce) can petite diced tomatoes
1 (10.75 ounce) can condensed tomato soup, undiluted
1 cup cottage cheese
1 cup sour cream
2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
1 cup shredded Cheddar cheese

Steps:

  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
  • Combine ground beef, onion, and bell pepper in a large skillet over medium heat. Cook and stir until vegetables are tender and beef is browned and cooked through, 10 to 15 minutes. Season mixture with salt and pepper while cooking.
  • Meanwhile, fill a 5-quart Dutch oven or other oven-safe pot with lightly salted water and bring to a rapid boil. Cook egg noodles at a boil until tender yet firm to the bite, 7 to 9 minutes. Drain noodles and return to the pot.
  • Add diced tomatoes, condensed soup, cottage cheese, sour cream, and Worcestershire sauce to the egg noodles; stir to blend. Stir in ground beef mixture until evenly combined. Taste and adjust seasonings. Sprinkle Cheddar cheese over the top.
  • Bake uncovered in the preheated oven until heated through and cheese is melted and golden, 25 to 30 minutes. Serve immediately.
