Homemade Ranch Dressing Mix image

This homemade ranch dressing mix recipe makes a large batch. You can mix this up in bulk and you'll always have ranch dressing mix on hand!

1/2 cup dried dill weed
1/2 cup dried parsley
1/4 cup dried onion flakes
1/4 cup onion powder
1/4 cup garlic powder
2 tbsp dried chives
2 tbsp salt
2 tbsp black pepper

Steps:

  • Mix all herbs and spices together in a bowl (or add directly to the jar).
  • Transfer mix to a pint sized mason jar or other container with a lid, and add a label. Keeps for up to 1 year.

Quick and easy ranch dressing mix recipe that uses pantry ingredients! Contains no MSG and is perfect for seasoning your favorite recipes, dressings and dips!

1/2 cup dry buttermilk
2 Tbsp dried parsley
1 Tbsp onion powder
2 tsp dried chives
2 tsp garlic powder
2 tsp dill weed
1 tsp sea salt
1 tsp pepper

Steps:

  • Mix all ingredients together in a medium bowl.
  • If you would like a more finely-ground mixture place it in a food processor and pulse the mixture until it reaches the desired consistency.
  • Store mixture in the refrigerator in a sealed container for up to 2 months.
  • Add 3 Tbsp ranch seasoning mix, 1/2 c. mayonnaise, 1/2 c. sour cream and 3/4 c. milk. Whisk together in small bowl until smooth and combined. Chill for 20 minutes before serving.
  • In a bowl combine 2 Tbsp ranch dressing mix and 16 oz sour cream. Chill for at least 2 hours before serving.
  • About 3 Tbsp is equal to a 1 once packet of seasoning mix.

1 cup reduced-fat mayonnaise
1 cup plus 6 tablespoons buttermilk
ADDITIONAL INGREDIENTS FOR DIP:
2 cups reduced-fat sour cream

Steps:

  • Combine the first five ingredients. Store in an airtight container in a cool, dry place for up to 1 year. Yield: 4 batches (about 3/4 cup)., For salad dressing: In a small bowl, whisk the mayonnaise, buttermilk and 3 tablespoons mix. Refrigerate for at least 1 hour. Yield: about 2 cups., For dip: In a small bowl, combine sour cream and 3 tablespoons mix. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours. Serve with assorted crackers and fresh vegetables.

  • Mix together all ingredients.
  • Store in a 1 cup canning jar or other airtight container.
  • When ready to make dressing, combine 1 cup of mayonnaise, 1 cup buttermilk, and 1 tablespoon dry dressing mix.
