Birthday Cake Chex Snack Mix Recipes

BIRTHDAY CAKE CHEX™ SNACK MIX

Steps:

• Line cookie sheet with foil or waxed paper. In large bowl, place cereal and popcorn.
• In medium microwavable bowl, microwave frosting and white vanilla baking chips uncovered on High about 2 minutes, stirring every 30 seconds, until chips can be stirred smooth. Pour over cereal mixture in bowl; toss to evenly coat.
• Spread mixture in single layer on cookie sheet. Immediately top with sprinkles. Let stand until set, about 1 hour. Gently break up mixture. Store in airtight container.

BIRTHDAY CAKE CELEBRATION CHEX MIX™

Steps:

• In large bowl, place cereal; set aside.
• In medium microwavable bowl, microwave frosting and white vanilla baking chips uncovered on High 1 minute; stir. Microwave 30 to 60 seconds longer or until mixture can be stirred smooth. Stir in vanilla. Pour mixture over cereal, stirring until evenly coated. Pour into 2-gallon resealable food-storage plastic bag.
• Add powdered sugar and sprinkles. Seal bag; shake until well coated. Spread on waxed paper to cool. Stir in popcorn. Store in airtight container in refrigerator.

WEDDING DAY CHEX® MIX

Steps:

• Line 15x10x1-inch pan with waxed paper or foil. In large bowl, place cereal.
• In medium microwavable bowl, place candy coating and oil; microwave uncovered on High 1 minute; stir. Microwave on High 20 seconds longer if necessary until coating is melted. Pour over cereal, stirring until evenly coated. Spread in pan. Refrigerate 4 to 6 minutes or until candy coating is set.
• Break into bite-size pieces in large bowl. Stir in pretzels and almonds.

CAKE BATTER CHEX® MIX

Steps:

• Heat oven to 250°F. In large bowl, place cereal; set aside.
• In small microwavable bowl, microwave white chips and butter uncovered on High 30 seconds; stir. Continue to microwave in 30-second increments until chips and butter are softened and can be stirred smooth. Stir in vanilla.
• Drizzle mixture over cereal; toss until well coated. Sprinkle dry cake mix, powdered sugar and sprinkles over cereal; toss until well coated. Spread in single layer in 15x10-inch pan or large cookie sheet.
• Bake uncovered 30 minutes, stirring after 15 minutes. Cool about 15 minutes. Store tightly covered at room temperature.

CHEX PARTY MIX

Steps:

• Melt butter with worshiesire and salt.
• Mix cereal, nuts and pretzels together in large pan.
• Cover with butter mixture.
• Bake for an hour at 225-250; stirring mix every 20 minutes.
• I like to add other cereals to mix it up. Some of my favs: Crispix, Life and Quaker Oat Squares.

GAME DAY CHEX MIX™

Steps:

• In large microwavable bowl, mix cereals, nuts, pretzels and bagel chips; set aside. In small microwavable bowl, microwave butter uncovered on High about 40 seconds or until melted. Stir in seasonings. Pour over cereal mixture; stir until evenly coated.
• Microwave uncovered on High 5 to 6 minutes, thoroughly stirring every 2 minutes. Spread on paper towels to cool. Store in airtight container.

CHEX FUNFETTI CAKE BATTER BUDDIES

Steps:

• Melt Almond Bark according to package directions, adding vegetable shortening to thin it out.
• Pour the cereal into a large bowl and drizzle the melted Almond Bark over the cereal.
• Mix gently with a large spoon or spatula. Dump the cake mix and powdered sugar onto the cereal and mix gently with large spoon until all the cereal is evenly coated.
