BLACKBERRY APPLE CRISP
Tart berries and sweet apples are baked inside this brown sugar and oat crisp.

Steps:
- Preheat the oven to 400°. Grease a 9x13 pan with butter. Place the blackberries and apples in a large bowl and sprinkle with the sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, salt, and cornstarch. Stir to coat the fruit and set aside while assembling the crust and topping.
- Stir together the oats, flour, brown sugar, and butter. Pour the fruit into the greased pan and sprinkle the oat mixture on top of the fruit.
- Bake for 30 minutes, until the crust has browned and the fruit mixture is bubbling. Serve warm with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream. Enjoy!

APPLE-BLACKBERRY CRISP
Steps:
- Heat the oven to 375°F.
- Combine the flour, both sugars, salt, and cinnamon in a medium bowl. Rub in the butter with your fingertips until it's well blended and the mixture crumbles coarsely; it should hold together when you pinch it. Add the hazelnuts. Refrigerate the topping until you're ready to use it.
- Put the apples and blackberries in a large bowl. Taste the fruit and sprinkle on the sugar as needed (use 2 Tbs. sugar for very ripe fruit, or up to 1/3 cup for tarter, less-ripe fruit).
- In a small dish, dissolve the cornstarch in the lemon juice. Gently toss the mixture with the fruit.
- Pour the fruit into an 8- or 9-inch square (or similar-capacity) glass or ceramic baking dish. Set the pan on a baking sheet to catch overflowing juices. Top the fruit with half of the topping (keep the other half refrigerated) and bake for 20 minutes.
- Sprinkle the remaining topping over the crisp and continue baking until the fruit is tender when pierced with a knife, the topping is crisp, and the juices are bubbling, another 25 to 35 minutes. Let cool for 20 to 30 minutes. Serve warm.

- Mix with the blackberries and place in a buttered casserole dish.
- Mix together the white sugar, cinnamon and T. flour and spoon over top.
- Next, mix together the cup of brown sugar, flour and butter until it is coarse and place on top of the fruit.

- Combine blackberries and apples in a 11x7-inch baking dish.
- Sprinkle with lemon juice.
- Combine granulated sugar and 1 tbsp.
- flour; sprinkle over fruit and toss gently with fork.
- Combine 1 cup flour, brown sugar, oats, baking powder, cinnamon and salt.
- With fingertips, blend butter into flour mixture to form coarse crumbs.
- Sprinkle over fruit.
- Bake at 350*F for about 45 minutes, or until apples are tender.

- In a large bowl combine all filling ingredients and toss to blend.
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
- Put the oats, flour, butter, brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg and salt. Work mixture together with fingers until it resembles coarse meal. Add almonds and blend well.

- Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
- Slice apples and place in a saucepan with water and 3 tablespoons sugar. Heat over medium-low heat for 5 minutes, stirring every minute to prevent sticking.
