Steps:
- Preheat the oven to 300°F.
- Season the ribs all over with salt and pepper, then arrange in a 9x13-inch baking dish (it will be a tight squeeze).
- Combine all of the ingredients for the BBQ sauce in a small bowl and stir until smooth.
- Pour ⅓ of the sauce (about ½ cup) over the ribs. Using tongs, flip the ribs over and spoon another ⅓ of the sauce over top. Reserve the remaining BBQ sauce to spoon over the cooked ribs. Cover the pan with aluminum foil and roast for 2½ hours. Remove the foil and, if the cooking liquid is covering the meat, use a large spoon or ladle to remove some of the liquid so that the tops are exposed. (Note: the meat will look unappetizing at this stage; don't worry, it will look much better once it's done!) Cook for 30 minutes more, uncovered, until the meat is tender and browned. Cut off any excess fat that remains around the short ribs. Transfer the short ribs to a serving platter. Discard the cooking liquid, as it will be very greasy. Slather the reserved BBQ sauce over the short ribs and serve.
- Freezer-Friendly Instructions: The ribs can be frozen for up to 3 months. Reheat them tightly covered with foil in a 300°F oven until heated through.

SIMPLE BBQ RIBS
Country-style ribs are cut from the loin, one of the leanest areas of pork. These ribs are seasoned, boiled until tender, then baked with your favorite barbeque sauce. That's it! Back to simplicity, back to the country life. Sigh.

THE BEST BONELESS RIBS
These are the best tasting beef ribs I have ever had in my entire life. This recipe was given to me by a dear friend, which was passed on to her in her family. I usually double this recipe when I make it. It's great in the oven or in the crockpot! I like to use the boneless beef spare ribs.

BONELESS BARBECUE RIBLETS
Steps:
- Season the ribs with a mixture of chili powder, toasted cumin and beer. Wrap the ribs in foil and steam in a steamer for 1 hour or roast in a 250 degree F. oven in a pan with moisture for 2 hours until tender and moist.
- Coat the ribs with barbecue sauce then slow grill over low heat face down. Coat the backside of the ribs with barbecue sauce. Heat for 5 to 10 minutes to caramelize the outside of the ribs and heat them through. Remove the ribs from the grill and cut the meat away from the bone between the ribs.
- In a bowl whisk together the ketchup and steak sauce. Whisk in the beer, then the cayenne. Add the peanut butter a tablespoon at a time, whisking until the mixture is smooth. Add the chives and peppers and stir.
- Grits Cake with Barbecue Riblets: Cut the grits cake mixture into the desired shape using a cookie cutter. Dredge them in flour and reshape. Saute the cakes in an olive oil and butter mixture until crispy on both sides. Place 3 slices of the rib meat over the grits cake and drizzle with extra barbecue sauce.
BONELESS BBQ'D RIBS
My aunt and dad makes this for family functions. It's really easy to make and quite tasty. 2lbs of ribs equals 8 pieces or so. Use as much as barbecue sauce as you like to taste. Also good leftovers if there is any left.

- Preheat oven to 300°F. Coat bottom of a sheet pan with olive oil. Stir together paprika, chile powder, garlic powder, onion powder, 3/4 teaspoon of the salt, and 1/2 teaspoon of the pepper in a small bowl until blended. Sprinkle all sides of ribs with spice mixture, and place ribs in a single layer in prepared sheet pan. Cover tightly with aluminum foil, and bake in preheated oven until ribs are tender and can be pulled apart with a fork, about 1 1/2 to 2 1/2 hours.
- Meanwhile, whisk together ketchup, molasses, vinegar, Worcestershire, chopped chiles, and remaining 1 teaspoon salt and 1/2 teaspoon pepper in a medium bowl. Pour half of sauce into a small bowl, and reserve for serving.
- Remove ribs from oven, and increase oven temperature to 450°F. Uncover ribs, and drain any accumulated juices from sheet pan. Baste ribs with remaining sauce. (Discard any unused basting sauce.) Bake ribs at 450°F, uncovered, until ribs are very tender and sauce has become sticky and slightly glazed on ribs, about 20 minutes. Serve ribs with reserved sauce.
